(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that occurred in six cities or counties, and five provinces. In this report, two practitioners were subjected to mistreatment while in detention, and at least four practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Fushun, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Honglan Arrested
Police officers from Hongmiaozixiang Police Station arrested Ms. Li Honglan from Xinbin County on the afternoon of January 22, 2011 when she was talking with people about Falun Gong. Ms. Li is currently detained at Nangou Detention Center in Fushun City.

2. [Zibo, Shandong Province] Mr. Niu Jinye Held at Shandong Provincial 2nd Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Niu Jinye lives in Gushan Village, Heiwang Town in the Zichuan Area. Police officers from Shangcheng Police Department in the Zichuan Area arrested Mr. Niu at his home at around 5 a.m. on January 13, 2011. They confiscated Dafa books, a computer, and other personal items from his home. Mr. Niu is currently serving an 18-month term in Shandong Provincial 2nd Forced Labor Camp.
In the labor camp, Mr. Niu began to have symptoms of severe illnesses. A large boil grew on the right side of his face that constantly discharged pus. Eventually the tissue underwent necrosis and a small hole developed in his cheek. Mr. Niu began vomiting blood. For two months Mr. Niu was unable to eat; he lost a lot of weight and was so weak he had difficulty standing up. The guards however, still forced him to work.

3. [Nanchang, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xu Zhen Arrested
Ms. Xu Zhen is from the Qingshanhu area of Nanchang City. Police officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Qingshanhu Police Department arrested her on December 28, 2010 when they found that she was making truth clarification phone calls. The police ransacked her home. Ms. Xu is currently detained at Nanchang First Detention Center.

4. [Leshan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wei Shiyu Held at Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Wei Shiyu, 56, ran into the director of the Zhoujiaba Administration Office while at the Dazhulin Tianjin Machinery Factory of Zhoujiaba in Wanzhou District on January 6, 2011. Ms. Wei clarified the truth about Falun Gong to him, and for this was reported to the authorities. Police officers from Zhoujiaba Police Station arrested her and took her to Zhoujiabao Detention Center. On January 20, 2011, Ms. Wei was transferred to Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp, and is being held at the fourth team.

5. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Niang Arrested
Ms. Zhang Niang was arrested on January 17, 2011 when she was talking to people about Falun Gong and helping them to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
6. [Shahe, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Luxing Persecuted
Wang Jianjun, captain of the Shahe City Domestic Security Division, and two other officers went to Mr. Liu Luxing's home on the morning of December 12, 2010. They ransacked his home and confiscated CDs and other items. They tried to take Mr. Liu into custody, but he managed to escape.
