(Clearwisdom.net) I obtained the Fa in June 1996. When I first read Zhuan Falun, I felt surprised and pleased. I finally obtained what I had been looking for. Thus I started my cultivation.

Validating the Fa when the persecution began

On July 20, 1999, our Master Li Hongzhi was defamed in mainland China and the persecution of Falun Gong began. As a practitioner, I realized that I should validate the Fa and tell people that Dafa is great.

I went to Zhongnanhai (the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party) to appeal for Falun Gong on July 21, 1999 riding my bike. On my way, I met many practitioners from other areas. We linked arms and recited Lun Yu. I felt the strong energy of being a whole body as well as the power of compassion.

The police rounded us up and took us to a stadium on buses, trying to get information from us. I talked with them, but told them only about the wonderful effects of Falun Dafa.

Late at night, we were all released. During the following days, I went to Zhongnanhai multiple times and was frequently detained but released shortly afterward. In my mind, going to Zhongnanhai to appeal was the best way to validate the Fa.

It might also be a good idea if we all went out to do the exercises. If all practitioners did the exercises in public, we would have a free environment in which we could enjoy the freedom of belief. I practiced the exercises at the practice site every day. Later on, my school did not allow me to do the exercises any more and instead, I had to go to a public park to practice the exercises. A few days later, I was illegally arrested, which gave me an opportunity to clarify the truth of Dafa to the policemen in the police station.

At the end of 1999, school authorities removed me as a class adviser and later refused to let me give lectures and assigned me to collect mail.

Exposing evildoings

In November 2000, I filed a letter with the National People's Congress outlining how Jiang Zemin's policy of persecution was unconstitutional.

When I was about to say goodbye to my family, my wife was sad and said, “If you turn it in, they will kill you.” I replied very firmly, “I will come back.”

I went to the National People's Congress and submitted the letter. However, I was told that they did not accept accusation letters, and I was asked to mail the letter to the office.

It was rainy that day, I looked at the sky and felt very confident. I shed tears and decided to validate the Fa firmly. I went to the post office and mailed the letter.

After I returned home, my family was surprised and asked, “Really? How did you make it back?” I replied, “I told you that I would be back.”

Eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts

In January 2001, I was held in a forced labor camp for a year and a half, and they extended it for an additional ten months.

I noticed an interesting phenomenon. When the police were talking to me, they always looked at something else instead of into my eyes. They did not dare to look at me.

When they were trying to persuade me to renounce my faith, many of them lost their voice for a few days. I did not know why that happened. However, I remembered Master's words,

"It doesn’t matter what so-called Buddha, what Dao, what Deity, or what demon it is—they can’t sway me." (“The Sixth Talk” in Zhuan Falun)

In March 2001, I said to these policemen, “I will never give up believing in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Nor will I give up in our Master. I even give up my life in order to validate the Fa if necessary. I do not hate anyone. I am compassionate to everybody.” My firm mind really shocked them and they did not try to “transform” me any more.

Saving sentient beings

In May 2003 I returned home and was given a laptop computer by a fellow practitioner. I bought a printer, a DVD burner and a stapler, and thus set up a truth-clarification materials production site.

Initially, I wrote truth-clarification letters. I mailed the letters to every teacher in my school and every friend of mine.

At the end of 2004, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published and I downloaded and printed it. I put the Nine Commentaries into large envelopes and gave them to people I encountered, including all of the college instructors.

After I studied the Fa and did the exercises each day, I always made several copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I also burned DVDs and made other types of truth-clarification materials, such as bookmarks and paper money with Falun Dafa messages written on it. Then I went out on my bike and distributed these materials. On my way back home, I took advantage of every opportunity to help people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. I did this every day, and helped several people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

In the second half of 2007, I left my home and worked at a truth-clarification materials production site as a volunteer. A fellow practitioner told me that he found a house in a quiet and isolated area, which was good for us to study the Fa and do the exercises.

I went there and bought some equipment. We bought a laser printer, a paper cutter, a stapler, and a laminating machine. Another practitioner gave us a color printer. We were able to set up a larger truth-clarification materials production site.

We made Dafa books, Shen Yun DVDs, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party DVDs as well as other types of materials. We gave practitioners a whole box of materials on a weekly basis.

I was in charge of solving technical problems for fellow practitioners. I helped practitioners install operating systems on their computers and trained them to make Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, burn DVDs and fix machines.

Sometimes, I also contributed articles to the Minghui website and exposed the persecution and shared my experiences with fellow practitioners. Another project I participated in was being a Clearwisdom correspondent.

Looking at my cultivation process, I had lots of different feelings and appreciation. I thank Master for taking care of me and I thank fellow practitioners for helping me selflessly.
