Falun Gong practitioners march in London to commemorate the twelfth anniversary of April 25 appeal.

Falun Gong practitioners held a group exercise practice in front of the Chinese Embassy at noon on April 25. Afterwards, they unfurled banners and set up poster boards. The banners were worded “Commemorating 12th Anniversary of April 25 Appeal,” “Falun Dafa is Great,” and “12 Years of Persecution of Falun Gong in China. Stop it Now!”

The photos and poster boards described the persecution of Falun Gong in China, including cases of practitioners who were tortured to death, and photos of practitioners who were tortured. Some posters showed an introduction of Falun Gong, described the worldwide spread of Falun Gong, and showed people of different ethnicities and countries around the world freely practicing Falun Gong.

Several Falun Gong practitioners gave speeches at the rally. A practitioners who was present at the April 25 appeal in 1999 described the reasoning and process of the appeal. Another practitioner who suffered from the CCP’s persecution narrated his personal experience with tears. A representative of European Friends of Falun Gong gave a speech and called on governments of every country to put aside economic interests when dealing with basic human rights and condemn the CCP atrocities.

After the rally, the practitioners held a march with banners and poster boards towards Chinatown. As they passed by the busiest streets in London, they distributed Falun Gong information materials, exposed CCP’s persecution, and explained the facts about Falun Gong. Many passersby stopped to watch the march, read flyers, and express their support of Falun Gong. A lady professor of International Communications from Iceland expressed that such events are important and more people should know about the CCP’s live organ harvesting. She said she would tell her friends and would conduct discussions in class with students.
