(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Miao Peihua was an acupuncturist from the Province Capital Hospital Outpatient Service. In March 2009, she was arrested by police and sent to the Shandong Province First Women's Forced Labor Camp (also called Jiangshuiquan Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jinan) for one year and nine months to do slave labor. After the term expired, agents from the 610 Office took her directly from the labor camp to the Liuchangshan Brainwashing Center in Jinan. She is still being detained there.
Liuchangshan Brainwashing Center, also called "Jinan Legal Training Center," is a private prison set up by the 610 Office to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Miao Peihua was previously persecuted at the Shandong Province First Women's Forced Labor Camp for one year starting in 2007.

Many Falun Gong practitioners persist in their beliefs even in the face of persecution at the labor camp. On orders from the 610 Office they are sent to brainwashing centers for further persecution after their terms expire. This has become a model used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
The Persecution of Miao Peihua
In January 2000, Miao Peihua went to the Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested and sent to the Baoding Forced Labor Camp. During the detention, she protested against the persecution by holding hunger strikes with fellow practitioners. She was previously healthy but has now been reduced to a skeletal state weighing about 77 pounds.
Miao Peihua was reported to the police in March 2007, while she was distributing truth clarifying materials about Falun Gong. She was sent to the Jiangshuiquan Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City to serve a one-year term.
On March 31, 2009, on practitioner Zhang Xingwu's trial day, Miao Peihua was followed and arrested by the local neighborhood committee director, whose family name is Shen. This director works at the Yuhanlu Neighborhood Committee in Jinan. Miao Peihua's home was ransacked and she was detained in the Zhangzhuang Detention Center.
Liu Dongxiao, Yan Yong, and Wang, officers from the Yuhanlu Police Station of Zhongqu Police Department, Jinan, interrogated Miao Peihua and Liu Lijie, a relative of Zhang Xingwu on April 6, 2009. The police produced a forced labor judgment document for them. Miao Peihua and Liu Lijie refused to accept or sign the document.
On April 10, police officers Chen Jie and Li Weifeng came to the Zhangzhuang Detention Center to interrogate Miao Peihua regarding the letters clarifying that Falun Gong was good. The police officers' badge numbers are 015055 and 013244. In the detention center, Miao Peihua and Liu Lijie refused to wear the uniforms or answer questions during interrogations. They also did not sign the forced labor judgment documents.
On April 15, 2009, Miao Peihua and Liu Lijie were sent to the Shandong Province First Women's Forced Labor Camp to serve terms of one year and nine months. Miao Peihua was detained at the First Brigade and this was the second time she had been persecuted in the forced labor camp. Her belief in Dafa remained firm during the detention. It was well known that she had been brutally tortured, and mentally abused. She was sent to a mental hospital to be "cured." After her term expired, CCP personnel ordered her to be sent directly to the Jinan Liuchangshan Brainwashing Center.
