(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Yu Yongjuan, a practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province, was arrested, detained at forced labor camps, and harassed several times. Due to the physical and mental abuse, she died on April 10, 2011.

Ms. Yu was born in June 1952 and lived in the Heguang Community on Weixing Road in the Chaoyang District in Changchun City, Jilin Province. Because of uremia, she was bedridden for more than 40 days in 1997. She looked everywhere for a cure, but nothing helped. Ms. Yu began to practice Falun Gong and regained her health.

After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began its persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, Ms. Yu went to Beijing several times to appeal, and she was arrested three times. Changchun City Police Department officials arrested her again in November 2003, ransacked her home, and sentenced her to a one-year term of forced labor.

In November 2004, labor camp officials demanded that Ms. Yu write a statement to give up her belief in Falun Dafa before she would be released, but she refused. The guards then told her to sign a written statement that they had prepared, and, again, she refused. Several guards then grabbed and restrained her in order to get her fingerprints. Ms. Yu kept her hands tightly balled into fists. The guards pulled and stretched her arms so hard that she was covered with bruises. Nevertheless, with strong belief in Falun Dafa and Master, she was released without giving any fingerprints or signing any documents.

After Ms. Yu’s release, local police went to her home many times to harass her and ransack her home. The telephone line in her home was also bugged.

When Ms. Yu was taking care of her one-year-old granddaughter right before the New Year in 2008, more than 10 agents from the city police and 610 Office barged into her home. The agents ransacked her home and took her away. She was released seven days later.

Ms. Yu’s home was ransacked again in October 2010.

Jiang Zhiguo (Weixing Road Police Station deputy head) and more than 10 police officers, including Da Cui, harassed Ms. Yu again and ransacked her home during the National Congress and the Political Consultative Conference in 2011.

After the long-term physical and mental abuse, Ms. Yu died on April 10, 2011, with the symptoms of an acute cerebral hemorrhage.
