First introduced to the public almost two decades ago, it has helped millions of people in more than 100 countries to improve their health, purify their mind, and enhance their overall life quality. I am proud to join in saluting this tremendous occasion – Falun Dafa Day.
Therefore, it is with sincere appreciation and on behalf of the City of Houston, its City Council, and more than two million Houstonians, that I, Council Member Jolanda “Jo” Jones, extend my greetings on Falun Dafa Day.

Whereas: Falun Dafa has an ancient history that was passed down over the ages from a single master to a single disciple in each generation. That discipline would cultivate five gentle exercises which benefit all people based on the universal principle of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance
Whereas: In 1992, Mr. Li Hongzhi (referred to respectfully by practitioners as “Master” or “Teacher”) first taught Falun Dafa publicly in the city of Changchun, China, and then continued to lecture all across the country. Today, Dafa is a practiced and cherished by over 100 million people in over 100 countries, and has received a plethora of honors.
Whereas: Falun Dafa transcended cultural and racial boundaries. It brings a strong unity in every country that it is practiced in and the tireless efforts of Mr. Li Hongzhi to convey the message are both honorable and commendable.
Be It Resolved: I, Ronald C. Green, salute and commemorate Falun Dafa on Friday, May 13th, 2011, and proclaim “World Falun Dafa Day”, in Houston, Texas
