(Clearwisdom.net) In September 2010 in a factory in my local village, I was using an electric saw to cut different size planks of wood into small strips a little over an inch wide. All of a sudden I felt a piercing pain in my left hand. I had sawed off four of my fingers. One third of my index finger had been cut off. The tendons of my middle and ring fingers had been severed . The bone in my little finger has been neatly sawed off. All that was left was a little piece of dangling skin. I quickly used a towel to wrap up my injured hand. My boss drove me 5 kilometers on his motorcycle to the town hospital.

The doctor reattached the tendons of my middle, ring, and little fingers. Afterwards he said, "Your index finger is already dead. We will have to amputate it." Although it was very limp and had lost all of its color, I said, "Please attach it. It will be fine." The doctor anxiously said, "Didn't you understand what I said? If I re-attach it, it will not survive. If it gets infected we will have to amputate it." I said, "Please re-attach it. It will work. I practice Falun Gong. If there is any problem, I will take full responsibility for it." Seeing how determined I was, he agreed to do the procedure. After he had sutured it, he said, "It will be a miracle if this is successful." It took nearly three hours to complete the surgery.

My relatives all came when they heard that I had severed my fingers with an electric saw. My older sister insisted that I should go to a larger hospital. She said, "It's a joke to have fingers re-attached in the town hospital." My younger sister felt the same way. She said that last year her husband's younger brother's toe had been severed. It was extremely painful after it had been re-attached. He often had massage treatments to alleviate the pain. He said that the pain was intolerable. He spent a lot of money and was still not completely cured. My maternal uncle said, "You should be able to get at least 30,000 yuan out of your boss for severing four fingers." I knew that all of my relatives were worried about me, but I said to them, "I will not go to another hospital. I will get treatment here. I am a Falun Gong practitioner. There won't be any problems."

After my fingers were re-attached, it was a miracle that I was able to move them immediately. When the bandage was removed, I noticed that my fingers had returned to their normal color. The head of the surgical department said to the doctor who had done the surgery, "Loosen the suture threads a little bit, otherwise when the hand swells the threads will dig into the flesh." Except for a little numbness in my hand, it did not swell and didn't even hurt after a few days. The wound drained initially, but after a few days it was dry. I asked to be released ten days later, but the doctor and my relatives refused to let me go. I said, "People say that there is a close relationship between your fingers and your mind. Take a look at my hand. My fingers were severed but they don't even hurt. I practice Falun Gong. Everything will be fine. I want to go home." The doctor didn't say anything but merely smiled. My younger sister said, "Falun Gong is really effective. His fingers don't even hurt!"

I did not ask my boss for any money except to cover the hospital expenses. The stitches were removed 15 days later. I could prepare meals. I was able to husk the corn when it was time for the autumn harvest. I was able to use a shovel to dig ditches a month later. My hand works as if it were new.
