(Clearwisdom.net) I am a peasant woman. I used to have all kinds of illnesses that tormented me so badly that I often sat up crying at night. Even when I got out of bed in the morning, I needed assistance from one of my family members. An assortment of health issues, including anemia, headaches, dizziness, arthritis, lumbar vertebra pain, and a broken hip bone, made me think more about dying than living.
In June 1998, I had the great fortune to practice Falun Dafa. I practiced the exercises for four days and then on the fifth day, a miracle occurred. I was able to get up from the bed without any help. After that, I started to cultivate my mind and be a good person according to the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." As a result, all of my illnesses disappeared without me even being aware of it.
On the morning of July 15, 2009, I accidentally fell down while doing my household chores and hurt my left knee. I called my daughter-in-law, who was working at the time, and asked her to come home to take care of her son. When she got back home and saw how badly swollen my knee was, she insisted on taking me to the hospital.
I said, “I don't need to go to the hospital. I will be OK.” When my son came home that afternoon and saw my swollen knee, he carried me to the car without asking my permission, and brought me to the hospital to get an X-ray.
The result showed that my knee had sustained an inch-long fracture.
The doctor said, “Don't move, you need to stay in the hospital and wear a cast. After 40 days the cast can be taken off. After 100 days you will be able to walk. At your age you will need to rest and recover for half a year.”
I said, “I will be OK and I don't want to stay in the hospital.” Later, the doctor gave me some medicine, put a cast put on my leg, and sent me home.
That evening, my knee hurt very badly. I took the cast off and thought, “How could this have happened? If I can't move my leg, how am I going to go out to clarify the truth and save sentient beings? Everything that happens to practitioners is not by chance.”
By looking inward, I found the root cause of my problem. While taking care of my grandson, I often missed sending forth righteous thoughts at 12:00 noon and at 6:00 p.m. Also, I hadn't really studied the Fa much, which resulted in my being persecuted by the evil. After I found my loopholes, I started to eliminate the evil that was persecuting me.
After that, I sent righteous thoughts every hour, studied the Fa and practiced all five exercises every day.
Since I could not cross my legs, I crossed just one leg. The leg pain went away very quickly. But I still had to endure the tribulations from my family.
In the evening I took my cast off. However, in the morning, when my daughter-in-law saw me, she'd put the cast back on my knee. When she went to work, I'd take the cast off again. In the afternoon, after my son came home and saw that my cast was off, he'd immediately put it back on me. I told them, “I am OK. I will fully recover soon.”
But they did not listen to me. So after they put my cast back on, I would take it off. After this cycle repeated itself a number of times, and after I refused to take any medicine, they stopped doing these things against my will.
Falun Gong is so wonderful. After 13 days, I could ride a bicycle to get my hair cut. After 30 days had passed, I was basically fully recovered.
My daughter-in-law took me to get another X-ray, saying, “We cannot be sure you are OK until you have another X-ray taken.” After the X-ray was taken, the doctor said, “Nothing is wrong, she just has a little extra bone there, which is very common for people her age.”
My daughter-in-law said, “That's not right! One month ago she fell down and had her kneecap broken and the bone fracture was more than one inch long.”
The doctor replied, “I do not see any signs of a broken kneecap.” Then doctor compared the two X-rays of my knee and said, “It's a miracle! Normally people your age need at least a half a year to recover from such an injury.”
After that, my family members have started to believe in Dafa.
