(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of May 29, 2010, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Luo Liangzhen was distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs when he was spotted by security staff and reported, resulting in his illegal arrest. Around 9:00 p.m. that evening, a security guard and seven plainclothes police officers forced open the door of Mr. Luo's home and ransacked it. They took many of Mr. Luo’s family belongings. In April 2011, Mr. Luo was sentenced to three years in prison.

Foshan Chancheng District Court held a hearing for Mr. Luo on December 16, 2010. Mr. Luo was sentenced to three years imprisonment at his first trial in April 2011.

Prior to May 1999, Mr. Luo had been suffering for 30 years from severe chronic bronchitis, chronic rhinitis, lumbar hyperostosis, and blindness. Although he was only in his thirties, he had to rest after walking only 30 minutes. After Mr. Luo had practiced Falun Gong for a month, all his illnesses disappeared. However, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong, he stopped practicing Falun Gong due to his fear of being persecuted. He started practicing again in the beginning of 2010.

Mr. Luo’s wife had suffered from systemic lupus and had difficulty walking. She didn’t have a job. Their son was very young at the time, and suffered from hyperactivity and mild mental retardation. Mr. Luo not only supported his family, but also supported his parents and his father-in-law, who was about 90 years old. Every month, he paid 1000 yuan for his parents’ living expenses and 500 yuan for his father-in-law’s living expenses. He worked very hard to take care of those around him. After returning home from his work, he would also do the housework. He got up at 5:00 a.m. every morning to make breakfast for his son. He always helped his son do his homework, tending patiently to his education. As time went by, his son’s behavior got better and better.

In the community, Mr. Luo treated people with compassion and tolerance. He always considered others first.

Such kind person has been sentenced to three years in prison by the CCP just because he distributed DVDs for the traditional Chinese culture show Shen Yun Performing Arts.
