(Clearwisdom.net) On July 16, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners in many counties and cities in Taiwan, despite wind and rain, held activities to mark the 12-year persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They also commemorated practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution, and called for righteous people to stand up to the brutality of the CCP and end the persecution.

Hundreds of practitioners from Nantou and Changhua gathered at Sun Moon Lake to do the exercises and to hold activities to share the wonder of Falun Gong with the local people and tourists. As they walked around the lake, practitioners carried signs on their backs bearing messages such as “Falun Dafa is practiced far and wide,” “Good will be rewarded and evil will meet with retribution,” “The Law of Heaven won't tolerate harvesting organs from living practitioners,” and “Stop persecuting Falun Gong.” They wanted to call attention to the brutal persecution in China.

Nearly a hundred practitioners do the exercises at a leisure square near the entrance to Sun Moon Lake

When the practitioners who walked around the lake reached Wen Wu Temple, they greeted a large number of Chinese, saying, “Falun Dafa is great,” “Welcome to Sun Moon Lake.” Some of the tourists waved back, and some smiled. They all saw the messages that the practitioners wanted to convey to them.
