At the booth, practitioners in yellow suits demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, which immediately attracted many people to watch. Spectators took Falun Dafa promotional materials and took photos of the scene. Some also tried the exercises while they were there. Several practitioners performed a beautiful Fan Dance, a Lion Dance, and a drum performance, which attracted a huge crowd.

At the booth, the practitioners presented a photo display which documented the spread of Falun Dafa around the world. Practitioners’ handmade lotus flowers were a popular gift at the celebration. Some Chinese immigrants also squeezed through the crowd to get the flowers and Falun Dafa pamphlets.

Many people asked similar questions, “What is Falun Gong? Why is Falun Gong being persecuted in China? “Where can one learn the exercises?

As there was a huge crowd at the Falun Dafa booth, a middle-aged lady was trying to find out what the booth was about. When she learned that the booth was about an ancient Chinese cultivation which is good for both mind and body and offers free instruction, she became very excited, and shouted toward her husband, “I now know what this is!”

A young college student was very curious to learn the main difference between Falun Gong and other qigong methods. When she heard that a key feature of Falun Gong is to help people to improve their xinxing, or moral character, she smiled and made a note of this phrase.

There were many people who wanted to learn the exercises. Two ladies watched practitioners meditating. One said, “I feel that they are so tranquil, and this must be something good for me. I also want to learn.”

An Indian gentleman read all the posters and then came to the booth and said very seriously, “I want to tell you that I fully support Falun Gong!”

He then asked the practitioner why the Chinese Communist Party would persecute Falun Gong. The practitioners said that Falun Gong was very popular in China and the Communist Party fears people with belief… He nodded and said, “I understand. This is why it also persecutes Catholics and people in Tibet. The party persecutes anyone who has his or her own belief
