(Clearwisdom.net) On February 25, 2011, we were scheduled to visit a village 20 kilometers from our area. We took along a projector to show the Shen Yun's 2011 performance to about one hundred villagers. This was the first time we were going to show the DVD of the Shen Yun performance to a large group of people who were not Falun Gong practitioners.

We were to show the DVD in an auditorium. We offered to pay 100 yuan to rent the space, but the owner refused the money out of support for our effort. After making these arrangements, fellow practitioners in the area notified their relatives about the screening and many of their relatives invited their friends in turn. We were actually worried that we would run out of space.

As scheduled, people had an early dinner and came to the auditorium to watch the show. There were many people from all walks of life: young mothers, elderly ladies and men, and students, as well as young people.

“The Monkey King Outwits Pigsy” brought a lot of laughter to the audience. Everyone seemed delighted with the show and many commented afterward that the show was “so beautiful.”

The screening was a success, as it helped the villagers learn more about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and about their own culture.

As the people left the auditorium they seemed so happy and many sincerely said “Thank you!”
