(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Hao started practicing Falun Gong in 1996, and has benefited both physically and mentally from the practice. On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began the persecution of Falun Gong, and Mr. Hao has since been arrested and harassed many times. He was held in a forced labor camp twice. On August 8, 2011, officers from the Domestic Security Division of Chengde Police Department arrested him again. He has four children, and the youngest is only eight-months old. His mother is in her seventies. His wife cares for the farm and the family by herself. Mr. Hao is being held at the Shuangluan Brainwashing Center.

As a weak child, Mr. Hao often suffered from pain in the lower back and legs. He was treated using various methods, but nothing worked. Shortly after he began practicing Falun Gong, his aliments disappeared and he has been healthy ever since.

After the persecution started in July 1999, Zhou Zhanguo, director of the local police station, led several officers to Mr. Hao's home and confiscated a TV, video player, recorder, videotapes, and other personal belongings. Mr. Hao later went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. He and other practitioners were taken to the Qianmen Police Station. The police forcibly photographed each of them. Officers from the Longhua Police Department then took him back home. He was held in the Longhua Detention Center for more than 40 days and was released on 4,000 yuan bail.

In October 2001, Mr. Hao, his wife, and his sister went to Beijing to appeal. As soon as they arrived at Tiananmen Square, the police threw his wife and sister to the ground. He had just opened a banner that said, “Clear the Innocence of my Teacher!” when the police took the banner away. They were all taken to the Qianmen Police Station and later taken by the Longhua police and held in the Longhua Detention Center for five months.

Mr. Hao was later taken to the Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan City to serve a three-year term. He went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. He was transferred to the No. 6 Ward, where he was severely tortured with electric batons and tied up with thin ropes that almost disabled him. His hands didn't work well for more than a month after being tied up. When he refused to renounce Falun Gong, he was locked in solitary confinement for nine days and beaten by two inmates. He was forced to put his thumbprint on the three statements and later taken home by his family.

Mr. Hao was reported in 2004 while speaking with a village accountant about Falun Gong. He was held in the Longhua Detention Center for seven days. In October 2004, Wu Huawei, chief of the Domestic Security Division of Longhua Police Department, led several officers to Mr. Hao's home and extorted more than 4,000 yuan from him.

Mr. Hao later rented a place in Longhua County and did odd jobs. Wang Shumin, the new chief of the Domestic Security Division from the Longhua Police Department, often led officers to his rental home and harassed him. They also confiscated an electric hammer, a satellite dish, and other personal belongings.

On January 19, 2007, Mr. Hao was deceived by the police and taken to a detention center. Officer Liu Dianzhong and Wang Hui interrogated him the next day and he was sent to Baoding City to serve one year and nine months of forced labor.

After Mr. Hao returned home, officers from the County Domestic Security Team, the police station, the Political and Judiciary Committee, and the 610 Office, along with villagers Han Guochen and Guo Yongfu, went to his home repeatedly to harass him.

In 2011, Si Penglong, secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee went with several officers to Mr. Hao's home. They ransacked the place and confiscated many personal belongings. In May, they ordered him to attend a brainwashing session in Chengde City, to which Mr. Hao refused.
