(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Xiao Huiye benefited both physically and mentally from Falun Gong, but the CCP has persecuted her many times because she refuses to give up her belief. She served forced labor terms twice. She became extremely weak after being tortured in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Doctors said that she could only survive for a few months. The following is just some of the persecution that she has suffered.

Taken to Labor Camp after Going to Beijing to Appeal

Before she started to practice Falun Gong, Ms. Xiao Huiye had multiple diseases. After she started to practice in April 1996, her severe rheumatic heart disease, uterine fibroids, stomach and spleen diseases all disappeared. At that time, she was completely healthy.

On July 20, 1999, the CCP started the brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Xiao and other practitioners in her hometown went together to appeal in Beijing. They were arrested at Tiananmen Square and taken to the Fengtai Stadium in Beijing. They were not given any food or drink for three days while they were exposed to the hot sun. On the fourth day, they were taken to the Qingyuan County Police Department in Fushun City. They were detained overnight in a garage and fined 1,100 yuan before they were allowed to return home.

In October 1999, with the escalation of the persecution, Ms. Xiao and other practitioners went to Beijing again to appeal for Falun Gong. However, the appeals office had already become a place to arrest practitioners, so she clarified the truth about the persecution and held up a banner in Tiananmen Square. Later, she was arrested next to the Jinshui Bridge at Tiananmen Square, and the police took her to the Changping Detention Center.

Ms. Xiao refused to give her name at the detention center, because it would have resulted in her family being persecuted and punished by the local government. Later they transferred her to other police stations and then to Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang. After a week, they figured out the address of her family, so she was transferred to the Qingyuan Detention Center. She was detained for another day there, and then taken to the Fushun Forced Labor Camp for three years.

In the Fushun Labor Camp, more than 20 people beat Xiao Huiye at the same time. She lost consciousness several times. After she came to, they beat her again. She was covered with injuries. Later, she was temporarily released for medical treatment.

Persecution in Detention Centers and by the Cangshi Government

At the end of November 2000, Ms. Xiao went to Beijing again to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested again at Tiananmen Square. She refused to give her name and was taken to five different police stations. The police used electric batons to shock her and used batons to beat her. She still refused to give her name. Later, the police figured out her address and took her back to the Qingyuan County Detention Center in Fushun City and detained her there for several months.

Later, she was taken to the Cangshi Township government and detained there. The government and local police stations sent personnel to watch her. She was detained for 81 days. It was winter and very cold, but she slept on wooden boards and only had thin cotton quilts. Later, her son went there and wrote a statement promising that she would give up the Falun Gong exercises, which she tore up. Finally, when it was close to the Chinese New Year, they released her and extorted 2,000 yuan from her family for her “meal expenses.”

At that time, some practitioners were sent to forced labor. Since Ms. Xiao constantly had stomach pain, she was checked at a hospital and it was determined that she did not fit the requirement for forced labor, so she was released.

Torture Re-enactment: Force-feeding

In May 2002, Ms. Xiao distributed truth-clarification materials in Xinbin County. She was arrested and taken to the Xinbin County Detention Center. There she held a hunger strike for nine days. On the fifth day they started force-feeding her. She became extremely weak and had hematemesis, so she was released. When she was released, the police dropped her on the street, and said, “Do not come here to pass out flyers. If you come here again, we will kill you.” Then they left.

In the summer of 2002, Xiao Huiye was taken from her home to the Qingyuan Forestry Farm Hostel. She started to have physical problems, and she was released the same day.

Persecuted in the Xinhua Police Station and Detention Center in Fushun

On February 7, 2009, Ms. Xiao went to the home of practitioner Mr. Liu Hanyong (70 years old, living in the Shuncheng District, Fushun City). At that time, because Mr. Liu talked to people about Falun Gong, he was arrested and taken to the Fushun Detention Station. The police hid in his home to find more practitioners. Ms. Xiao was unaware of this, so she was arrested after she knocked at the door. Two policemen handcuffed her. Later, she was taken to the Xinhua Police Station. With her hands cuffed behind her to a heating pipe, 5-6 people came to beat her. She had a heart attack and lost consciousness. She was taken to the Fushun Center Hospital, where she was diagnosed with coronary disease. After she was taken back to the police station, she had another heart attack and had to be taken back to the hospital. This was repeated three or four times, and the doctors all said she had coronary disease. Later the police ransacked her home. At around 11 p.m. on February. 9, she was taken to the Fushun Detention Center.

After Ms. Xiao arrived at the detention station, criminal inmate Zhao Min (female, in her 30s) dragged her by her hair, beat her, and pinched her. There was a vicious murderer with the last name Yang, who repeatedly tried to beat Ms. Xiao to death. When Ms. Xiao held a hunger strike, they force-fed her. More than ten people force-fed her at once, spilling food paste all over her and injuring her mouth. The guards also instructed other inmates to force-feed her. Later, they took her to another cell. The police station that arrested Ms. Xiao also took her to Shengli Hospital in Fushun City to force-feed her. They started to force-feed her after she held the hunger strike for 17 days (the police were not aware of it before then). At that time they force-fed her every three days. After five times they were not able to get food into her stomach anymore, so they inserted a tube through her nose. The inmates in the cell force-fed milk powder to her every day. The hunger strike lasted for 40 days. Later, a man with the last name of Liang from the Xinhua Police Station took Xiao Huiye to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Persecuted in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

In mid-March of 2009, Ms. Xiao was taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. The female guard in charge of her was called Zhang Jun (in her 40s). Once Ms. Xiao arrived at Masanjia, collaborators asked to “transform” her, which meant making her give up the practice of Falun Gong. At that time someone with the last name of Gong and several others told Ms. Xiao to sign a certain statement. She refused. She knew that they were lies written by the collaborators, and she continued to meditate and do the exercises.

Two policewomen in the labor camp, Fang Yehong and Zhang Xiurong, both in their 30s, took Ms. Xiao to the East Tower of Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. This place is specifically designed to torture practitioners. They tortured her with the “airplane” to try to force her to give up her belief. She said she did not know how to write the statement, but they did not believe it. There were also two men who tortured Ms. Xiao one morning and would not let her go. After lunch, they told her to “transform,” but she still refused.

In the afternoon, they started to torture her again. It was called “splitting the legs.” Several people pushed her legs apart 180 degrees. It was so painful that she passed out. Later they brought a pen for her to write the statements. Ms. Xiao threw it away. Then they made her squat until 5 or 6 p.m. She said, “I am not going to write it. If I wrote the statement, it would also be bad for you, because it is wrong that you force me to give up cultivation.” They still did not listen. Then Ms. Xiao started to write about validating the Fa, but they stopped her. Fang Yehong and Zhang Xiurong started to split her legs again, but she still did not give up. Finally, they took her back to the workshop and told her to announce that she would give up Falun Gong. She still refused. After the torture of “splitting the legs,” Xiao Huiye had difficulty walking.

The next day they did a test. The group leader, Guan Liying, wanted Ms. Xiao to answer the questions, but she refused. Finally, they gave up.

In Masanjia, Ms. Xiao did not sing the evil CCP songs, memorize the 30 regulations, or write her “homework.” She was brutally beaten by the inmates under the direction of the police. More than 20 people lived in the same room with her. They verbally abused her and said that since she refused to write her homework, others had to write it for her. At that time, Song Zhixiu from Fushun (female in her 60s, also from the Shuncheng District), even pressured her to write statements betraying Dafa.

One year after she was taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, Ms. Xiao Huiye frequently had fevers and lost consciousness. At the hospital, the doctors said she was not sick, but later, someone heard the doctors telling the police that her intestines had severe problems. Policewomen Zhang Zhuohui still forced her to work. Ms. Xiao once had a fever of over 102 degrees, but after she went back to the dorm and her temperature went down a bit, the police forced her to go back to work. This situation lasted for more than two months.

When it was time to release Ms. Xiao Huiye, the police planned to take her to the Luotaishan Brainwashing Center in Fushun. They did not do it since her health was extremely poor, and the doctors said she had severe intestinal problems and had only months to live.
