(Clearwisdom.net) On July 17, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Wang Nuanrong and Mr. Wang Peichen from Tonghua County, Jilin Province, were illegally arrested by Domestic Security Division officers in Tonghua County. Their home was ransacked. Mr. Wang Nuanrong is Mr. Wang Peichen's father. After they were arrested, a relative of Wang Peichen's went to the police department to see him, but the guards turned her away. The police threatened her, saying that Mr. Wang Peichen would be sentenced and Mr. Wang Nuanrong would be held in a forced labor camp.

The following is an account by Mr. Wang Nuanrong's wife, Ms. Zeng Qingrong, describing her husband's experience.

Prior to cultivation, my husband had chronic enteritis, bronchitis, hepatitis, arthritis, and many other diseases. We spent a lot of money on treatments, but he was not healed. Moreover, he loved to gamble, drink, and smoke. Whenever he lost money, he would fight with me after he got back home. After he practiced Falun Gong, he became kind, all his illnesses disappeared, and he no longer has bad habits. Our family is now happy. We deeply thank Master Li Hongzhi for the wonderful change in our family.

However, in the winter of 2000, Yu Wenfu, Leng, and a couple of police officers from the Madang County Police Station arrived at our home. They shouted, “Someone has reported you. It is you that is distributing Falun Gong materials!” Then they grabbed my husband, took him to the Madang Police Station, and detained him.

Teng Zhiguo, head of the Madang Police Station, was in a frenzy and, using all his strength, he repeatedly hit my husband with a mop handle. Blood flowed from my husband's nose, mouth, and ears and the blood was splattered on the wall and floor. Then Teng Zhiguo struck my husband's head hard and the mop handle broke in half. Teng picked up the part with a sharp end, shoved it into my husband's throat, and pushed him up against the wall. There was blood on his neck, in his mouth, on the back of his coat, and his hair. Teng Zhiguo beat him for an hour, until he was exhausted, then my husband was handcuffed to a radiator and had to sit on the floor for the entire night.

Around 8 o'clock the next morning, my husband was taken to Tonghua Detention Center. The guards stripped him and then opened the window to let the cold winter air in. They poured cold water over him until he was freezing. When he was interrogated, he was not able to say a word. He was tortured for 15 days and had 3,000 yuan extorted from him. He was not released until our son wrote a guarantee statement.

After he returned home, our relatives and friends came to visit him. He told them how he was tortured. Some people said, “You were brutally beaten like that? We should find some way to punish him!” My husband replied, “Teng Zhiguo does not know the facts about Falun Gong. If he understands the truth and beauty of Falun Gong, even though he is ordered to, he won't beat me.” Our relatives were so touched by my husband's compassion that they cried.

In the spring of 2009, my husband was taking care of the store for our son when he was seized by the police. They also took some Falun Gong books. My husband was not released until the next afternoon. To avoid further persecution he had to leave home.

In 2010, the police came to our store again and tried to arrest my husband, but that time, he was not there.

On July 17, 2011, Yu Jisheng and a dozen officers from the Domestic Security Division in Tonghua County harassed and arrested my husband again. Now he has been gone for more than three weeks. They are refusing to let us to see him, even though we have hired a lawyer for him.
