According to this report, eight Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least nine practitioners were illegally arrested.

Dr. Wang Yuejian, a former instructor in the Mathematics Department, and his wife, Ms. Song Chaoxia, an associate professor of the Genetics Department, Basic Medical Science College, Jilin University, were arrested by officers from the Guilinlu Police Station in the Chaoyang District of Changchun on September 9, 2011.
Dr. Wang's home was ransacked. A desktop computer and a laptop were confiscated. Dr. Wang was taken to the Changchun No. 2 Detention Center (also known as the Tiexi Detention Center) the same evening and Ms. Song Chaoxia to the Changchun No. 3 Detention Center (also known as the Sheling Detention Center in Shuangyang).
Ms. Ma Guohua, a former instructor at Northeast Normal University, was arrested the same day. She was arrested in Bainaohui, Changchun, by four plainclothes officers and her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.

Mr. Lu Shunmin, a farmer from Xuchang County, was arrested by Zhou Hengwei, chief of the Politics and Security Section of the Xuchang Police Department, and officers from the Lingjing Township Police Station on July 16, 2011, for talking to people about Falun Gong. He is being held in the Xuchang Police Department Detention Center. Mr. Lu's wife was also forced to leave home for fear of illegal arrest.

Four or five officers from the Jianguojie Police Station arrested Mr. Chen Jin at his home on the morning of September 14, 2011. Officers confiscated his Falun Gong books, 200 yuan in cash bills with facts about Falun Gong written on them, photos of Falun Gong founder Mr. Li Hongzhi, and other items. Mr. Chen was initially taken to the Jianguojie Police Station, then to the Xuanhua Detention Center the same afternoon.

6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Five practitioners including Mr. Wang Jinsheng and Ms. Ma Yulian were arrested by officers from the Songshan Police Station for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on the evening of September 14, 2011. Each practitioner had 10,000 yuan extorted from him or her.

Ms. Li Chunqin, arrested on the afternoon of August 29, 2011, was taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for a term of a year.
8. [Beijing] Ms. Song Shuying Sentenced to Forced Labor
Agents from the 610 Office, police department, and police station in the Shijiangshan District of Beijing barged into Ms. Song Shuying's home and took her to the Bajiao Police Station in the Shijingshan District on June 22, 2011. In the middle of August, 2011, Ms. Song was sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor.

10. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhan Xingchao Taken to the Yichun Brainwashing Center
Mr. Zhan Xingchao, an employee of the Passenger Transportation Section, Mudanjiang Branch, Harbin Railway Bureau, was taken to the Yichun Brainwashing Center on September 6, 2011.
Mr. Zhan was twice sent to forced labor camps. The first time, he was sent to Mudanjiang Forced Labor Camp and then was transferred to Suihua Forced Labor Camp. The second time, he was sent to Suihua Forced Labor Camp.
