(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhang Su from Changqing Garden, Wuhan City in Hubei Province was arrested by officers from the Wuhan Domestic Security Division on May 5, 2011. His family was not informed of his arrest and did not know of his whereabouts. They filed a missing person's report at Changqing Garden Police Station and Taibei Police Station in Wuhan, and sent a formal complaint to the Hubei Procuratorate and Wuhan Procuratorate.

At 4:00 p.m. on October 25, nearly six months after Mr. Zhang went missing, two people came to his home. Without showing any identification, they took out two copies of a “detention notice” from the Wuhan Police Department and told the family to sign it. They refused.

It is now known that after Mr. Zhang was arrested on May 5, and he was taken to Hubei Province “Legal and Educational Center,” which is actually a brainwashing center, the same day. Mr. Zhang refused to comply with the guards' orders, and on May 8 he was handcuffed, kicked and beaten by guards Gong Jian and Liu Cheng. He was subjected to brainwashing sessions all day, every day, until 9:00 p.m. Unknown drugs were put into his food, causing him to develop abnormal conditions.

Mr. Zhang's father is 75 years old and very ill. After learning that his son was arrested, his condition worsened, and on May 31, he was diagnosed with lung cancer. When Mr. Zhang's father went to Changqing Garden Community Center to ask about his son's whereabouts, he did not get any response. Mr. Zhang's mother has high blood pressure and diabetes, and also needs to take care of her husband. She is under a significant amount of mental pressure. She went to Wuhan Domestic Security Division on September 23. When she returned home, she was traumatized from what had happened there. Whatever transpired at the domestic security division caused her to partially lose her memory, and made Mr. Zhang's father panic.
