1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Fenglan Illegally Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Liu Fenglan was arrested on March 14, 2011 by a group of police officers including Geng Dan. Her family had 100,000 yuan extorted from them. Ms. Liu was held in the Nangou Detention Center until October when the Dongzhou District Court officials secretly illegally sentenced her to four years in prison. She was sent to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison on December 27, 2011.

Ms. Zhang Yuanlan, a retired employee from the Mengyin County Pharmaceutical Company, was arrested on the morning of January 2, 2012. Officers from the Mengcheng Police Station and the Mengyin County Domestic Security Division made the arrest.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] More than 40 Practitioners Including Ms. Wang Meifang Arrested

Mr. Liu Jingzhou and Ms. Wang Meifang from the Daoli District were arrested on December 31, 2011, by officers from the Daoli District 610 Office and the Daoli Police Department. Ms. Hao Lianqin was also arrested by officers from the Daoli Police Department. Practitioners who were arrested on the same day also include Ms. Song Guanghua, Ms. Xiao Xiao, Ms. Ding Xiaomei, and others.

Mr. Li Chunguang and his wife Ms. Cai Ning from Beike Street, along with Mr. Liu Qingsheng, were arrested on the morning of December 31 by officers from the Harbin City Domestic Security Division. The practitioners were taken to the Yaziquan Detention Center.

5. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Update on the Arrest of Mr. Liu Baohe and His Son Mr. Liu Hao

Mr. Liu Hao, around 26 years old, was arrested early on the morning of December 28, 2011, on his way home from working the night shift. Officers from the Development Zone Domestic Security Division, including Li Lizhong, made the arrest. Mr. Liu is currently in the Qinhuangdao City Detention Center.

Mr. Liu Hao's father Mr. Liu Baohe was arrested on the morning of December 28. His home was ransacked, and his truth-clarification materials, Falun Gong books, an image of Master Li, along with his computer, cell phone, and other personal belongings were taken.

6. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Shuqin and Ms. Liu Yuru Arrested

Ms. Yang Shuqin, in her fifties, from Pingquan Town, and Ms. Liu Yuru, in her forties, from Chengbei Village were arrested on the afternoon of December 28, 2011. Officers from the Pingquan County Domestic Security Division led by deputy head Wang Xiaofeng made the arrest and ransacked their homes. The two practitioners were taken to the Shuangfengsi Detention Center on the morning of December 29.

7. [Shanghai] Update on the Arrest of Ms. Zhuang Wei

Ms. Zhuang Wei was arrested on December 13, 2011, for distributing information about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked, and her two computers and Falun Gong books were taken. Ms. Zhuang is currently in the Pudong Detention Center.
