(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties and in seven provinces. In this report, 25 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Meng Xiangzhi Sentenced
Ms. Meng Xiangzhi was sentenced to seven years in prison and taken to Hohhot Women's Prison.
2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Jiang Guobo on Hunger Strike for Nearly Three Years in Shandong Prison
In February of 2009, Mr. Jiang Guobo was illegally arrested by officers from the Weifang City Police Department. He was later sentenced to prison and has been incarcerated in Shandong Prison for two years and nine months. It is said that Mr. Jiang has been on a hunger strike for nearly three years in protest of his illegal sentence. He has been force-fed every day.
3. [Liaoning Province] Persecution Accounts from Shenyang No. 1 Prison
There are 37 Falun Gong practitioners incarcerated in Shenyang No. 1 Prison.
Mr. Li Shangshi was sentenced to 15 years in prison and is incarcerated in the No. 3 Ward. Mr. Zhang Gonghua was sentenced to 14 years in prison and is incarcerated in the No. 9 Ward. Mr. Zhang developed a tumor on his liver, and the prison authorities have not allowed him to be released on medical parole. Mr. Zhang Jinsheng was sentenced to 12 years in prison and is incarcerated in the No. 10 Ward.
Mr. Hou Yanshuang was sentenced to 14 years in prison and is incarcerated in the No. 17 Ward. Mr. Hou suffered a stroke after seven years of incarceration, and has had difficulty taking care of himself. The prison authorities have not allowed his release for medical parole.
Mr. Wei Zhiyi was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Mr. Shen Shanyi was sentenced to 11 years in prison. They are both incarcerated in the No. 18 Ward.
Several elderly practitioners are incarcerated in the No. 21 Ward.

Mr. Wang Yong, an English teacher at Xindongfang Training School, was arrested while playing truth-clarification videos in his classroom. It is believed that the police confiscated two computers from his home.
6. [Luannan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Du Xuerui and Ms. Liu Guizhi Arrested
On the morning of December 22, 2011, Mr. Du Xuerui and Ms. Liu Guizhi went to a market to clarify the facts and give out informational calendars about Falun Gong. They were both arrested by officers from the Xicheng District Police Station. The two practitioners are still being held at the station.

7. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wei Deliang Arrested
On the morning of December 12, 2011, Mr. Wei Deliang from the Third Village, Wen'an Town, Wen'an County, Langfang City was followed and arrested at a construction field by officers from the Chengguan Police Station. He is currently held in custody by the Wen'an County Police Department. This is the third time Mr. Wei has been arrested.

8. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] More Information on the Arrests of Mr. Liu Qingyi and Other Practitioners
As of December 23, seven of the practitioners arrested on December 7 were released. They are: Mr. Liu Qingyi, Ms. Liu Qingxiang, Mr. Li Shuqi, Mr. Shen Lifang, Mr. Wang Wenping, Ms. Zhao Shufang, and Ms. Wang Yufeng.
Three practitioners are currently held at the detention center. They are: Mr. Zhang Zhongtian, Mr. Xue Ruihui, and Mr. Fan Wentuo.
Ms. Zhang Shuyun and Ms. Bai Minghong, among others, were transferred from Harbin City to Shuangcheng City.
On December 21, Mr. Li Peng and Mr. Wang Xinyu were interrogated. On December 22, Mr. Li, Mr. Wang, and Mr. Zhang Zhongtian had blood forcibly drawn from them. Mr. Li and Mr. Wang were taken away in the afternoon, and their current whereabouts are unknown.
9. [Xiangcheng City, Henan Province] Mr. Hu Jianhua Facing Trial
On the afternoon of November 6, 2011, Mr. Hu Jianhua was arrested in Huaiyang County. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated informational materials about Falun Gong. Mr. Hu's arrest was recently approved. It is believed that he will receive a seven-year sentence.

10. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Yan Derong Arrested
In mid-December 2011, people found that the lights in Ms. Yan Derong's home were on, yet no one was answering the phone. The inside of the home was a mess, and a printer and a computer were missing. It is very likely that Ms. Yan was arrested and her home was ransacked.

On the afternoon of December 19, 2011, Jiang Cheng, chief of the Domestic Security Division of the Yi County Police Department, Yang Zhou, director of the Xishan Police Sub-Bureau, Xie Chen, director of the Liulonggou Town Police Station, and other officers arrested Mr. Shi Feng, Ms. Zhao Guiping, her husband, and Mr. Shi's sister-in-law. Mr. Shi was taken to the Yi County Detention Center. Ms. Zhao and Mr. Shi's sister-in-law were taken to the Jinzhou Detention Center.

On the morning of December 23, 2011, officers from the 610 Offices in Cangzhou City, Wuqiao County, and Liangji Town went to the home of Mr. Shao Ming and Ms. Wang Hongfen in an attempt to force them to sign a guarantee statement. The couple refused.

On the evening of December 17, 2011, Ms. Li Xiufen was arrested by plainclothes officers while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong in a taxi. She is being held at a detention center.

On the evening of December 21, 2011, Ms. Xiang Xiaoyan, about 38, was arrested by officers who were waiting at her home as she returned from work. Many of her personal belongings were confiscated.
