(Clearwisdom.net) In 2011, the Mianyang City Political and Legal Committee and the 610 Office acting on orders from above, instructed agents from local police stations and residential committees to monitor, arrest and illegally detain Falun Gong practitioners. These agents abduct and detained practitioners and set up brainwashing sessions in Mianyang City and local counties to “transform” practitioners using brutal means.
This year, many practitioners in Mianyang City were abducted on different occasions and subsequently locked up in detention centers. They were secretly sentenced and sent to brainwashing centers in various regions. Other practitioners were subjected to varying degrees of surveillance and harassment. Some were forced to leave home to avoid persecution and their whereabouts are currently unknown.
Practitioners Who Were Tried and Detained
(1) Mr. Sun Yi is 39 years old and he is from Meijiagou Village in Xinzao Town, Mianyang City. On May 23, 2011, at 3 p.m., he was illegally arrested in the fields. The police actually fired gun shots during the arrest. Later on, Mr. Sun was taken to Mianyang City Detention Center. He was arrested by the head of the Xinzao Police Station, Liu Dan, political head Tong Xin, Meijiagou Village head Xiao Shigui and five plainclothes police from the Fucheng District State Security Bureau.
On November 28, 2011, in the morning, without notifying his family, Sun Yi was secretly tried in Fucheng District Court and unjustly sentenced to three years in prison.
Judge Wang Chen and Procuratorate Chen Min presided over the trial.
(2) On November 17, 2011, Mr. Sun's younger brother, 34-year-old Mr. Sun Houyi, was abducted by a group of plainclothes police while installing water and electricity in a house in Puming. He is now imprisoned in the Mianyang Detention Center. Those involved in this arrest include Zhao Yijiang from the Fucheng District Domestic Security Division, Liu Dan, head of Pangtao and Xinzao Police Stations, and Gao Ping, head of the Qingyi Police Station.
Practitioners Taken to Chaoyang Factory Brainwashing Center
(1) On July 27 of this year, Mr. Wan Queque, who lives in Hanjiaji, was abducted by agents from the Youxian District State Security Bureau, the local Police Station and residents committee. He was taken to the Chaoyang factory brainwashing center where he was detained for over 20 days. He was only released on August 20.
Tan Xiaoling and Chen Li from the Youxian District 610 Office participated in this operation.
(2) On September 20, 72-year-old Mr. Luo Houpu, who lives in the Fule District, was seized by officers from the local police station and the Youxian District State Security Bureau. The elderly man was locked up in the brainwashing center for nine days and nights and was only released after he wrote statements giving up his faith.
(3) A retired female worker from a Mianyang silk factory, Xu Deyu, is 76 years old. She was arrested and detained numerous times. She was just released from the Jianyang Women's Forced Labor Camp on June 18, 2011. On December 6, in the afternoon, her son Gao Jianting received a phone call from the Justice department requesting that his mother be taken to the Changhong factory hostel. In reality, this is where Chaoyang factory brainwashing center is set located.
Practitioners Taken to Gejiamiao Taohuashan Brainwashing Center
(1) Mr. Wang Yancai, 68 years old, is a retiree in Yongxing Town. On October 19, he was abducted to the Taohuashan brainwashing center by deputy chief of the Gaoxin District State Security Bureau, Tang Xiaolong and others.
(2) Ms. Chen Jiazhu is nearly 70 years old and lives in family dwellings provided by a steering gear plant. On October 26, Ms. Chen was abducted by officers from the Puming Police Station and deputy chief of the Gaoxin District State Security Bureau, Tang Xiaolong. She was then taken to the Taohuashan brainwashing center.
(3) On November 2, at 9 a.m., 74-year-old Ms. Chen Xiuying from Kechuangyuan District was abducted by the supervisor of the local residents committee and police from the Kechuangyuan Police Station and taken to the Taohuashan brainwashing center.
(4) Ms. Wei Jizhen is from Longjianian in the Gaoxin District. She is 72 years old. On October 18, agents from Gaoxin District 610 Office broke into her home and took her to the Taohuashan brainwashing center. In the brainwashing center, Ms. Wei's blood pressure began to rise continuously. The agents were afraid of taking responsibility and notified the Tongnan County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division to take her away. Currently, her whereabouts are unknown.
Practitioners Taken to the Mianyang Anxian Xiaoba Brainwashing Class
Mr. Tan Wanquan is 45 years old. In early November 2011, while conducting road repairs on the Beiyu Highway, head of Yongchang Town Deng Hong and Party head Wang Jianchun pulled him away from work on the pretext of asking him some questions. He was then taken to the Xiaoba brainwashing center by 610 Office agents and police.
