(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Changhai and his wife Li Shuyun, nearly 70 years old, live in the Longtan District of Jilin City, Jilin Province. At around 4:00 p.m on February 17, 2012, as they were distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs near the Jiangbei Chemical Industry Hospital in Jilin City, officers from the Longhua Police Station of the Longtan District arrested and took them to the Longhua Police Station, where they were held in separate rooms and interrogated.

Police officers took off Mr. Li’s clothes and beat him ruthlessly until after 8:00 p.m. The police then brought Mr. Li home, took his key and opened the door to his home. More than a dozen police officers then started ransacking the home. Mr. Li’s son and 14-year-old granddaughter were home at the time. Two police officers stood watch over them and forbade them from moving during the ransacking. The police took two CD burners, dozens of Falun Gong books, VCDs with Falun Gong information, a photo of Mr. Li Hongzhi, a lotus lamp, several MP3 players, and more than 6,000 yuan in cash. The police also tore New Year’s blessing pictures with a message about Falun Gong from the wall.

After they ransacked his home, the police took Mr. Li back to the police station. They also arrested and took his son and granddaughter to the Longhua Police Station, where they were held separately and interrogated from 9:00 p.m. to midnight, before being released.

The next day, Mr. Li’s son, his divorced wife, and their daughter went to the police station to demand their parents’ release. The police held the three separately and interrogated them for two hours before releasing them. Mr. Li’s granddaughter saw that her grandmother (Ms. Li Shuyun) was still being held at the police station. She was frightened and missed her grandparents after returning home. She cried and had no appetite.

Mr. Li and his wife are currently at the Xiaobaishan Detention Center in Jilin City.

Officers from the Longhua Police Station have participated in persecuting local practitioners for a long time. Plainclothes police broke into Mr. Li Shigang’s home at around 5:00 a.m. on April 28, 2011, took a computer, hard disc, cell phone, and other personal belongings. They also arrested Mr. Li Shigang, who had been disabled as a result of physical abuse under the persecution. He was detained for two weeks before being sent to a forced labor camp, however the camp officials refused to accept him. Additionally, practitioners Ms. Zhang Liying and Ms. Bai Yun were arrested on January 26, 2011 by officers from the Longhua Police Station, and later both were subjected to forced labor.
