(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in five provinces. In this report, three Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least nine practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Additional Information about the Persecution of Ms. Sun Fuqin
Ms. Sun Fuqin, a teacher at the Chicheng County No.3 Primary School, was arrested by officers from the Chicheng County Police Department on July 2, 2011, in front of the apartment building where she lived. The officers handcuffed her and dragged her into a vehicle. She was sent to the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center.
Ms. Sun is still being held in the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center. The Chicheng Court has sentenced her to four and a half years in prison.
2. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Huiying Arrested
Ms. Zhang Huiying from Xiaozhan Town, Jinnan District, Tianjin, was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Xiaozhan Police Station on the morning of January 2, 2012. Her home was ransacked and her entire family's ID cards, bank cards and other property was confiscated. Ms. Zhang is now being held in the detention center.
3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xu Qingchang Arrested
Qi Chuanying and others from the Wangliujie Community Office, along with officers from the Wangliu Police Station in Weicheng District, Weifang, ransacked Mr. Xu Qingchang's home in Wangliutun, on the morning of January 5, 2012, under the pretense of searching for fireworks. They arrested Mr. Xu and confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Gong books, photos of Falun Gong founder Mr. Li, DVDs, brochures about Falun Gong among other items.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Yanbo and Ms. Cao Shuzhen Arrested
Ms. Liu Yanbo, an employee at the Harbin Film Projector Factory, was arrested at her home by officers from the 7th Division of the Police Department on December 31, 2011. She is being held in Yaziquan. Her laptop computer and several copies of Falun Gong books were confiscated.
Ms. Cao Shuzhen from Daowai District, Harbin, was also arrested on December 31, 2011.
5. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Xiaoju and Another Practitioner Arrested
Ms. Li Xiaoju and another practitioner from Jixi City, whose name is unknown, were arrested by officers from the Tiexi Police Station at the end of December, 2011. They are being held in the Second Detention Center and have been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.
6. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Guirong Arrested
Director Gou Wenbin and five other officers from the Weicheng Drug Rehabilitation Center, along with agents from the Security Division of the Hospital affiliated with the Shaanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, barged into Ms. Zhao Guirong's home at the hospital's residential area and arrested Ms. Zhao. They also ransacked the home and took Ms. Zhao's computer, Falun Gong books, electronic books, photos of Falun Gong founder Mr. Li, MP5 players and other items. Ms. Zhao is being held in the Wenlinlu Police Station of the Xianyang City Police Department, Weicheng Branch.

Officers from the Anqiu City Domestic Security Division and the Chengbei Police Station, barged into Ms. Ma Aiyu's home and arrested her on the morning of January 5, 2012.
8. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiaoyan Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Li Xiaoyan from Laizhou City, was turned in and consequently arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division for talking about Falun Gong in public on December 8, 2011. She was sent to the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp on January 5, 2012 for a term of 18 months.
9. [Zigong City, Sichuan Province] Zhan Qunying Taken to Brainwashing Center
Zhang Yongqing and others from the Ziliujing District Domestic Security Division of Zigong City, arrested Ms. Zhan Qunying from Ziliujing District, Zigong City. The arrest took place in Beihai City, Guangxi Province. Ms. Zhan is being held in the Longtuanshan Brainwashing Center.

10. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Li Xinyao, a Teacher in Ninth Middle School of Panzhihua City, Sentenced
Ms. Li Xinyao, 41 years old, is an English Language teacher at the Ninth Middle School of Panzhihua City. She was reported by one of her students' parents for talking about Falun Gong during class in 2010. Ms. Li was consequently arrested and held in the Wanyaoshu Detention Center of Panzhihua, for over a year. She was sentenced to three years in prison in August 2011, and has been incarcerated.
