As the saying goes: Money cannot buy a person's health. However, in today's Chinese society under the guidance of the CCP, everything is focused on money. Fake medicine and tainted food has flooded the market, threatening people's health. The relationships between people in today's China is described as: “Everyone is out to get me, so I am out to get everyone else.” Many people ask: “What has become of this world? Who can I believe?” It is not easy to stay healthy, and it is even harder to rebuild trust among people.

In fact, rebuilding trust is not difficult. Just seven years after the start of the Falun Gong teachings in China in 1992, hundreds of millions of Chinese people experienced improved physical and mental health. Through practicing Falun Gong, millions of people suffering from incurable diseases regained their health. The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance purified people's souls. After benefiting both physically and psychologically from the practice of Falun Gong, practitioners began to introduce it to their families and friends. Word spread quickly from person to person about the health benefits of practicing Falun Gong and that all activities were free of charge. Rapidly, millions of people personally experienced the happiness of a healthy body.

However, the CCP under the leadership of Jiang Zemin, could not tolerate this. They saw those millions of good people who believed in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance as their enemies. In order to find an excuse to publicly persecute Falun Gong, the CCP used different kinds of media to slander Falun Gong. It was very similar to what happened during the Cultural Revolution. As a result, “1400 death cases” were fabricated to justify outlawing and persecuting Falun Gong.

Clearwisdom.net reported such a case in April 2004. Taishan Machinery Factory worker Mr. Wang Anshou, from Xintai City, Shandong, was diagnosed with mental illness and killed his parents with a shovel. The People's Court of Xintai City, Shandong Province, made a judgement (1999, Xincheng Minchu No. 245) which clearly pointed out that the killings were the result of Mr. Wang's mental illness. However, this case was used and collected as part of the “1400 death cases” which blamed Falun Gong for the crime.

The CCP also lured critically ill patients in hospitals to pretend that they were Falun Gong practitioners. Clearwisdom.net reported in January 2009, that Ms. Li Shuxian, a farmer from Cui Village of Xinhua township in Acheng District, Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, had a severe stomach ulcer and was admitted to the hospital. The hospital chair and a reporter from the “Xin Evening News”, persuaded the patient to pretend to be a Falun Gong practitioner. She was later discharged and died. Her name was added to the “1400 death cases.”

In addition to the positive personal testimonies resulting from practicing Falun Gong, a published health survey helped to validate the benefits. In 1998, the National Sport and Physical Culture Commission compiled surveys and reports on qigong. Many local medical teams in Beijing, Wuhan, Dalian district, and in Guangdong Province as well as other areas such as, Nanchang, Quangxi, Anhui etc., questioned local Falun Gong practitioners targeting the changes they experienced after practicing Falun Gong.

Of the 28,571 practitioners surveyed in Guangdong province, Beijing and Dalian district (the numbers of illness and complaints of each individual were not counted): 23,619 (82.7%) of practitioners illness's were completely cured and they considered themselves healthy; 4,616 (16.2%) practitioners saw improvements in their condition. 98.80f the people surveyed said their health benefited from practicing Falun Gong. Wuhan and Zizhuyuan in Beijing, surveyed the number of illnesses each practitioner had. The result showed 2,483 practitioners had more than one illness prior to practicing Falun Gong. There were a total 6,772 illnesses. 4,926 (72.7%) of those illnesses were cured after practicing Falun Gong. 1,712 (25.3) illnesses showed improvement; thus Falun Gong had a positive effect on 98.00f the cases.

In addition to the statistics, Clearwisdom.net has published many articles written by Dafa practitioners about how practicing Falun Gong cured their serious illnesses. Some of those practitioners started to practice Falun Gong after the persecution began. For instance, Clearwisdom.net published Ms. Dai Yiwei's story in February 2011. Ms. Dai received two Master's degrees from the University of Connecticut and was working at Yale University. However, a car accident changed her life when she was 30 years old. Every joint in her body was damaged in the crash. Ms. Dai sought both western and eastern medicine for help, but to no avail. As she was about to give up on finding a cure and was preparing to endure a life of pain, she found Falun Gong. Ms. Dai's injuries were cured. Ms. Dai had a second chance at life, just as her health, career, marriage, family and way of life were about to vanish.

The “1400 death cases” and other lies fabricated by the CCP are threatening China's public health, because they cause many people to lose their chance of benefiting from Falun Gong. This is also one of the reasons why Falun Gong practitioners, under the risk of being persecuted, are telling the truth to the public in mainland China. It is hoped that more and more people will learn the truth from Falun Gong practitioners, awaken to their compassion, and even start to practice Falun Gong. In doing so they may have healthy bodies and happy lives.
