(Minghui.org.) I am a doctor. I was diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph system, at the end of the 1980s. My doctor told me that I could live another ten years maximum after two major surgeries.
The cancer recurred in 1997. I was in great pain from the cancer and its complications. In despair, I lived from day to day, and my family planned for my funeral.
I was introduced to Falun Dafa in September 1997 and became a practitioner. Thanks to Falun Dafa, I am still alive and healthy 17 years later. My neighbors often comment that it is a miracle that I am still alive.
Practitioners told me that Falun Dafa was a high-level cultivation practice and that it could purify a person's body and improve one's moral standard. Given that I was in the late stage of lymphoma and so weak, I wondered if I had time to cultivate.
I started by reading Lecture one in Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Dafa, and read the entire book The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa. This book explains everything needed to do the five Falun Dafa exercises. I went to a local group exercise site to learn them the next morning. I did not feel tired even though I did not get any sleep after reading so much the night before.
In the beginning of my cultivation, I practiced the exercises in bed and often fell asleep. On waking up one time, I opened Zhuan Falun, Vol. II, and clearly saw the founder of the practice, whom practitioners call Master, talking to me and smiling at me for almost a minute. I was deeply moved, and tears covered my face. I started to believe firmly in Falun Dafa.
I studied the Falun Dafa books diligently and did the exercises daily, whatever the circumstances. I improved my xinxing and became a better person.
I slowly but steadily returned to good health. Before I knew it, within a few months my cancerous tumors disappeared.
It has been 17 years, and I am still alive. I am healthier than others my age and no longer need to take any medication or go for treatments. My weight returned to normal, approximately160 pounds.
