(Minghui.org) São Paulo is Brazil's largest city, and home to more than 200,000 Chinese people. A large number of Chinese Brazilian customers visit the city's shopping malls daily. They are among the largest wholesale merchandise markets in Latin America, and many of the shop owners are Chinese.

Falun Gong practitioners have started visiting these malls to offer Chinese people an opportunity to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

The practitioners noticed that the Chinese are listening to them more readily and accepting their informational materials. Many have renounced their membership in the CCP organizations.

A Chinese shop owner reads the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party

In one shopping mall practitioners visited one shop after another. They started by speaking with the shop owner. If the owner quit, often all of the store's staff would quit, as well.

Reading the Nine Commentaries and Quitting the CCP

Many Chinese people in the malls asked practitioners for a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, the editorial series published by the Epoch Times in 2004 that started the movement to quit the CCP.

One person told a practitioner, "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party has been out for quite some time, and everybody has said it is good. I have not read it yet, but plan on reading it soon."

"Please leave a copy for me, I'll take some time to read it," said a Chinese shop owner who was busy with his business. Most of the Chinese people working in the mall agreed to quit the CCP when practitioners went back to them a second time.

Some asked for more copies of the informational flyers or the Nine Commentaries for their friends, while others offered to help the practitioners. One Chinese person asked, "How many more informational materials do you have? I can help you pass them out."

Practitioners spoke with members of a group from China who had an exhibit at an expo. They were all staff of a state-owned enterprise. Each one of them took a copy of the Nine Commentaries and their team leader was seen reading it at their booth. He told a practitioner, "What it says is correct, the Communist Party is just so evil." A factory director told his staff, "Quit, everyone quit!" All the staff in his group eventually quit the CCP organizations.

Quitting the CCP After Learning About Forced Organ Harvesting

A practitioner walked into a big store and told several people about the CCP's state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. The store owner asked her, "Is it possible?" The practitioner answered that she could show them informational materials with detailed evidence.

The owner told her, "I did hear about this, but I didn't believe it. I thought the materials were fabricated." The practitioner told him that Falun Gong practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and therefore do not tell lies. The man said, "Please leave the materials for me. I'll take a good look at them." He, along with his family and his staff, eventually all quit the CCP.

A practitioner talked to a few young men about the forced organ harvesting atrocities. They didn't believe her at the beginning and asked if there were any recordings as evidence. The practitioner asked them to search Google to find audio recordings of telephone interviews with various CCP officials.

The practitioner also told them that the former Minister of Health for the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) General Logistics Department was recently recorded saying that Jiang Zemin personally ordered the military hospitals harvest organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

The young men said they would find the recording on the Internet.

The CCP Doesn't Represent China

After listening to a practitioner, a shop owner's daughter readily quit the CCP organizations. However, the shop owner argued with the practitioner, and said that he didn't like to hear the practitioner speak negatively about China.

The practitioner pointed out that he may have misunderstood. She told him that China and the CCP are two different things. She said the CCP is bad, as it kills people to stabilize its rule. It has made it hard for people to make a living, and that is why the shop owner had to leave his hometown and come to Brazil to make a living. The CCP has deceived people with lies and propaganda. China will have hope without the CCP.

The shop owner agreed with the practitioner, and said, "You're right. Actually we don't trust the communist party either." The owner and his other daughter decided to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
