(Minghui.org) The Korean chapter of the Divine Land Marching Band, whose members all practice Falun Gong, performed at the 2014 Pyeongtaek Marathon on October 11 and 12. It was the fourth time that the band has been invited to the event.

Pyeongtaek is an important harbor in South Korea, and also the home of a navy base. The annual marathon has been an internationally renowned event since 2011. More than 10,000 athletes from China, Japan, and South Korea participate every year.

Performing on center stage

The Divine Land Marching Band performed the prelude for the opening ceremony. Mr. Joyounggu, a famous MC in South Korea, introduced Falun Gong to the audience.

The band was invited to play several times during the competition. After the marathon, the band performed on center stage for 20 minutes. A local newspaper praised the band's selections, noting that they encouraged the attendees with magnificent music.

The Divine Land Marching Band is no stranger to Koreans. Before the marathon, the same band led a grand parade for the 2014 Colorful Daegu Festival held in Daegu on October 11. Many spectators told the Minghui correspondent that they had seen the band in other community events before and had learned about Falun Gong from the band members.
