(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners performed at the Multicultural Street Parade of the Caribbean Days Festival in North Vancouver British Columbia on July 27, 2014. They were warmly received by the local residents and won the First Place Marching Band award.
An artist said that she saw “peace, beauty and serenity” in the Falun Dafa procession.

Awarded First Place for Marching Band
The Falun Dafa procession is made up of the Divine Land Marching Band, the Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance float, and the exercise demonstration group. The band played many pieces of majestic music including “Falun Dafa Is Good,” “Deliver the Treasure” and “Maple Leaf Forever.”
The spectators on the route cheered for the practitioners. Some began to dance as the music started, and many showed their support. Many spectators took photos and videos of the performing practitioners.
Falun Dafa’s Procession Is Full of Joy and Liveliness
Lynne is an artist. She cheered and clapped as the Falun Dafa procession approached. She was very excited and enjoyed the performance. “I am very glad that they are here,” said Lynne.
Lynne knew that Falun Dafa was part of traditional Chinese culture. She adored the float with lotus flowers, which symbolized purity. She said that the Falun Dafa procession is “full of joy and liveliness which connects to the spectators and makes them feel the same way.” She also described the parade float as emitting the energy of “peace, beauty and serenity.”
There is Belief Behind the Music
Peter is a local resident of North Vancouver, and he was impressed by the Divine Land Marching Band’s performance, “They did a very good job. The musical pieces work very well in a parade. The members memorized all the notes and cooperated with one another.” “I know a little about Falun Dafa and that there is a spiritual belief behind their music, which makes it unique.”
