(Minghui.org) A city renowned for gambling and shopping, Las Vegas, Nevada also hosts about 20,000 exhibition and conferences every year, making it a prime venue for sharing new ideas and broad interests. A recent footwear fashion show, WSA@Magic, from August 18-20, 2014, attracted about 65,000 attendees, many of whom were from China. Falun Gong practitioners held banners and distributed pamphlets to the attendees, to introduce the practice of Falun Gong and inform people about the severe persecution taking place in China.

“We have seen Falun Gong [practitioners] at almost every major tourist site. We are glad to see you here again,” four exhibitors from China said. “We support you. Falun Dafa is great!”
Despite temperatures reaching over 100 ºF, people were happy to accept brochures and thanked the practitioners for their efforts. Many Chinese people decided to quit the Chinese Communist Party after hearing about the severe persecution in China. Even motorists noticed the banners and read them carefully when they stopped at the nearby red light. A number of drivers gave the thumbs-up in support.
Police officers on duty talked with practitioners and understood why they were there. One officer said, “You are doing the right thing. This is important and you have to let people know about it.”
A French newspaper reporter saw the banners and was impressed. He took pictures and said he would write a photo report. “I will tell people that, in Las Vegas, you will not only see casinos, but also Falun Gong,” he said.
