(Minghui.org) A young Chinese woman introduced an ancient meditation practice from China called Falun Dafa to Cham, a town with a population of 16,000 people. This town is located in Southern Germany. Its name goes back to the 10th century. The town was established about 200 years after monks founded the first church in the Bavarian forest.

Min and others set up a small banner and began to do the Falun Dafa meditation exercises, sitting on mats, in the town's park in 2003.

This park is a traffic hub, given its proximity to the town's train station, elementary school, middle school, and vocational school. The children and students often play or walk in the park, and thus had the opportunity to observe Min and her fellow practitioners whenever they did their exercises.

Young Man Longed to Find Meditation Practice

Michael 's family owns a chain store, but he was not very interested in business. He longed to take up ancient Oriental martial arts and thus kept his hair long, like a Taoist.

He heard about Falun Dafa in 2004 and attended a 9-day lecture workshop. He had found the spiritual path he was looking for. Alas, he was not able to attend all nine lectures, and when he tried to contact Min, she had moved.

Four years later, Michael saw Min meditating when he walked by the park. Min was glad to see him again and invited him to the weekly Falun Dafa study group.

“Fortunately, I continued to read the Falun Dafa books during these four years, so it was easy to become part of the group and learn the exercises,” said Michael.

The Falun Dafa principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance gave Michael a new perspective on life. He started a group exercise site near his home in Regensburg.

Passersby Eager to Learn

Many students stopped and asked about the meditation exercises. A girl from Albania used to come daily, and sometimes brought her friends, to learn the exercises. A family of six, who lived nearby, also came to learn the exercises.

After the Chinese regime's harvesting of organs from living Falun Dafa practitioners was brought to the public by the media, two girls who came to do the exercises decided to help with the signature drive to end forced organ harvesting in China. Every day after school, they take some of the petition forms and ask pedestrians for their signatures after explaining the brutal crime taking place in China.

Invited to Talk to Students

A student from a nearby high school was an editor for the school newspaper. She invited Min to come and talk to different classes. Min and another practitioner, who had been persecuted in China for his belief, gave several speeches at the school. They were well-received, and many attendees thanked Min for telling them about the important topic.

That student met Min again earlier this year. Recalling an article she read about prosecuting Jiang Zemin, she asked Min to present that topic to the students. Min accepted and said, “Telling others about Falun Dafa is most important to me.”
