(Minghui.org) I once explained to a relative of mine the goodness of Falun Gong and the evil persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). After hearing just a few words, he agreed to withdraw from the CCP, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers. I then stopped explaining the facts about Falun Gong in depth.

When Wang Lijun and Bo Xilai were subsequently arrested, he regained trust in the CCP. He said to me, “I am still a Party member, and I should still believe in the CCP.” With that thought, he put himself back in the sinking boat of the CCP. How sad this is! I blame myself for not thoroughly explaining the facts to him, and I missed the chance to help him truly understand why he should quit the CCP. This is a lesson.

Master said,

“What can be done? It's up to you to go save them. You need to explain from the righteous principles, from the Fa, from the reasons that we are being persecuted, and to enable people to have righteous thoughts, and only then will Gods recognize that this is saving people.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference”)

In the future, we must pay attention to every step of the process when clarifying the truth to people. We should not seek quantity of withdrawals. Our goal is to help them understand the facts first, by helping them understand what Falun Gong is, how evil the CCP is, and why the CCP is persecuting Falun Gong. Those conversations can awaken their innate and good nature, and allow them to be saved.

When talking to people on the street, we often can say only a few words. Since it's hard to explain the truth about Falun Gong in depth in such a short time, we often only aim to help them withdraw from the CCP. Yet this may not really save them. Some may have quit the CCP to escape disaster rather than as a result of awakening their righteous thoughts from their innate good nature. Therefore, in telling people the facts, we should tailor our words to each individual, and have an in-depth conversation to help them truly understand the facts. Only then can their good nature come forth and can they be saved.
