(Minghui.org) As Dafa practitioners, we are all involved with various projects. We want to accomplish our task, but I believe that improving and elevating one's xinxing through the process is more important. I would like to share what I learned through working with other practitioners.

How to Understand the Arrest of Practitioners

When I first began to help rescue practitioners, I felt worry and concern for their safety. I wanted them to be out as soon as possible. We searched for the reason for their arrests. Most thought that those practitioners had a loophole that was seized upon by the old forces. We studied Falun Dafa’s teachings, discussed the situation, and realized that we should not focus on their shortcomings. We should instead all look within.

Gradually I realized that there were many reasons why practitioners were arrested. There might be factors in their own cultivation, in our group, or even historic reasons. When they were arrested, their cultivation environment changed. We could not use human notions to assess the level of a cultivator or use human standards to judge the situation.

No matter what happens, one should face it as part of his cultivation path and do whatever a cultivator should do.

Rescuing Practitioners

I asked myself what I should do when I rescued practitioners: I would not let human notions limit me. I would treat everyone I encountered as sentient beings who were anxiously awaiting the truth. I would eliminate thoughts that distracted me from completing this task.

When I first helped with this project, I viewed it as a task of extraordinary importance. I soon realized that it was as important as other projects—just a different way to expose the persecution. My cooperation, diligence, and commitment to the project were all related to my cultivation state.

How the Tasks Are Accomplished

I noticed many times that I did not carry out this task wholeheartedly. I just went through the motions. This changed when Master inspired me when I worked with another practitioner.

I learned a great deal from him. When we ran into an unfamiliar area related to the law, he would do research first, learn the law, and then go forward. When he gathered information from others, he would verify its accuracy, and then follow through. That is how I learned to carry out these tasks wholeheartedly and the result was really good.

Now, whenever I need to submit documents for appeal, I would research the different departments first instead of sending them the same material. I would tailor the information to the specific department so that it can be more effective.

When I worked wholeheartedly, the task was accomplished without a hitch and I benefited enormously. When I went to the police department I would ask myself: Did I cherish this opportunity? Did they fully understand the facts that I presented? If they misunderstood, was it because I still had things that I was not quite clear about? Did I go in with a focused mind and undisturbed heart?

How Practitioners Cooperated

I heard a lot of good things about Allen before I knew him. Many practitioners believed that he studied the Fa well and understood the teachings. When we began to work together, he seemed indecisive and vague when he spoke. He expressed his opinion whether others liked it or not.

This disturbed me a great deal and I tried my best to see why this bothered me. I realized that it was not what he said that bothered me. I just did not want to hear what he said, whatever it was. It was my problem. I had developed notions about him.

When I dug deeper, I discovered several factors, namely, my level of cultivation and attachments. Allen's speaking style was direct and sometimes tough, and it was difficult to accept. This was something that I had to cultivate away.

I made up my mind to do this. We worked on the same project and I wanted the job done well without interference. Things gradually became better and the gap between us disappeared.

I noticed that other practitioners also had problems cooperating with Allen. The problems might have been small or not related to the project, but it got to the point where they did not want to work with him anymore.

I believe that our chance to work together was arranged long ago and contained factors for us to cultivate and improve. It might also have historic reasons. Each of us did different tasks and we were aware of our responsibilities. We needed to negate the old forces' interference, look within, and not let trivial matters distract us and lose focus.

When we looked within, we noticed that we had the attachment of relying on Allen. Allen, on the other hand, had a tendency to worry about our cultivation.

We agreed on one thing: each cultivator had his or her own way of enlightening and cooperated at his or her own level. Everyone had to measure themselves with the Fa’s requirement, and nothing else.

When we are able to cultivate in our different realms, understand the Fa principles at various levels, and can cooperate and coordinate well, that is the wisdom of Dafa and the result of solid cultivation.

This is my understanding at my current level. Please kindly point out any shortcomings.
