(Minghui.org) For the last 17 years, Falun Gong practitioners have demonstrated great compassion in their peaceful resistance to the brutal persecution, initiated by Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime. They firmly uphold their faith, courageously expose the atrocities committed by the communist authorities, and do not hesitate to clarify the truth about this cultivation practice for the benefit of others.

However, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), in order to continue their autocratic rule over the Chinese people, uses violence and deception. The regime accuses Falun Gong of “getting involved in politics” and label them as being “against China”.

Many innocent people have been deceived by such lies, formed prejudices against Falun Gong and have unwittingly fallen into a dangerous trap set by the Party and its minions.

Fundamental Right to Be Involved in Politics

Politics in a broad sense has no derogatory meaning, as it involves activities associated with the government of a country and activities that are concerned with public affairs and public interests. As such, everyone has a right to be involved.

More narrowly defined, politics also involves activities that gain and maintain political power and the ways a country is governed.

However, under the autocratic rule of the CCP, the phrase “politics” has become a bludgeon or heavy club. The term creates undue psychological fears in people whenever it is mentioned, given the ruthless political purges and persecution by the CCP over a long period of time.

Resisting Persecution Is Not Being Political

Falun Gong, as a cultivation practice of mind and body, is based on the principles Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance, and thus has nothing to do with politics. Practitioners who strive to be good people by following the Falun Gong principles in their daily lives, have no interest in politics. Their disinterest in politics pertains especially to politics practiced by the CCP, which is filled with violence and deception.

Falun Gong is widely recognized around the world as a peaceful cultivation practice that brings people great physical and mental benefits. Practitioners participate in many community activities and have earned praise from people from all walks of life. Falun Gong does not get involved in any disputes between political parties.

Practicing One's Constitutional Right

The Chinese Constitution grants every Chinese citizen: “Freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, of procession and of demonstration; freedom of religious belief; and the right to criticize and make suggestions to any state organ or functionary; among others.

Given the rights granted by the Constitution, innocent people who are brutally persecuted, have the right to tell the persecutors to stop the persecution.

Who Is Truly Against China?

Since the CCP came to power in China, it has brought enormous pain and suffering to the Chinese people and sold out China’s national interests on a large scale.

Tens of millions of Chinese people lost their lives during the CCP's many political movements and purges.

The Chinese people are deprived of their constitutional right to freedom of speech, freedom of the press and the right to vote.

Under the CCP's rule, over 1.8 million square kilometers of China’s land have been given away secretly, including the over one million square kilometers of land that Jiang Zemin handed over to Russia in December of 1999.

CCP's high-ranking officials, such as Jiang Zemin, and Zhou Yongkang, encouraged corruption at all levels of government, which resulted in rapid moral degradation across China. The common Chinese people worry about their safety.

When we reflect upon what has happened since the CCP seized power, it is not difficult to see who are truly against China.

History will show that Falun Gong brings society numerous benefits with no harm, just as it did before the communist regime banned it.

Falun Gong practitioners’ peaceful resistance to the CCP’s persecution over the past 17 years has demonstrated the power of righteousness. Practitioners have endured enormous suffering to safeguard justice, not for themselves, but for the betterment of humanity. They are a force that brings social stability.
