(Minghui.org) Agents from the Fuping County Party Committee in Baoding City, Hebei Province searched five Falun Gong practitioners' homes under the pretense of evaluating their financial status.

However, as soon as they found Falun Gong informational materials, they called the 610 Office, county police department, and police stations, which would send officers to ransack the practitioners' homes and confiscate various items.

Yang Jinlong from the county Party Committee and four agents went to Ms. Wang's home on March 30, 2017. Upon seeing some Falun Gong materials, they called the police. Three officers came and confiscated 16 Falun Gong books, a notebook computer, printing paper, and some personal items.

The same group went to Ms. Zhang Ping's home. They looked around and could not find anything. They commented, “Your house has front and rear gardens, and you are not qualified as a low-income family.” They then left.

They went to Mr. Duan Jianhua's home the next day, claiming to be examining his living standards. They searched his home and, upon discovering some Falun Gong materials, notified the 610 Office and the police department. Officers ransacked the home and confiscated a computer, a printer, toner cartridges, and other materials, with a total value of over 20,000 yuan. Ms. Duan escaped.

Next, the agents went to Ms. Tong Guolan's to “examine her financial status.” They confiscated two printers and other Falun Gong items. The total value of the seized items was about 10,000 yuan. They took Ms. Tong to the police department, interrogated her, took notes, and finally released her.

They went to Ms. Zheng Baoying's home on April 1 and seized her computer, printer and Falun Gong books. The value of the items was about 7,000 yuan.

Officers from the Fuping County Police Department went to Ms. Duan's home again on April 7. When they couldn't find her, they took her brother-in-law and her husband to the police department for questioning. They threatened to issue a national warrant for the arrest of Ms. Duan. They also threatened that, unless she renounces her faith, her daughter would have a difficult time finding a job after graduating from university

According to a source, the county 610 Office chief Gao Fengxian directed the operation. Officers from the Chengguan Police Station participated in confiscating practitioners' property. The operation was launched after a person reported to the county Party Secretary that a practitioner were telling people about Falun Gong and the persecution.
