(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Huang Junrong, 81, was arrested by officers from the Guande Domestic Security Division. She was taken to the police department and interrogated before being released.
Ms. Huang began to practice Falun Gong in 1998. She lives with her daughter in Guangde County. Five officers from the domestic security division went to her home and ransacked it on May 31, 2017. They seized all her Falun Dafa books, Minghui Weekly, Teacher Li's articles, an MP3, and a computer and printer. Then they arrested her and took her to the Guangde Police Department.
There they interrogated and threatened her. During the interrogation, the police gave her two minutes time to make a statement.
She said: “All I have to say is, ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’”
She kept repeating these two sentences for the two minutes. The police listened quietly and seemed astonished.
Ms. Huang's daughter, while waiting outside the interrogation room, asked the police why they keep harassing her mother. She said that her mother's health improved after started practicing Falun Gong and that her practicing it is good for herself and for the country. She asked them why they have repeatedly arrested her and seized her property.
Her daughter told the police that she had been to Hong Kong and Macaw where she saw Falun Gong practitioners everywhere, and that the police didn't bother them; so why do the police here keep harassing Falun Gong practitioners?
The police responded: “We don't want to do it either. We just cannot help it as the order comes from higher authorities .”
The police suggested that Ms. Huang practice at home and avoid being seen by others.
Ms. Huang was released to her daughter at around 8:00 p.m.
