(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 17 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 were illegally arrested.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Lihua and Mr. Li Weiqing Detained
Ms. Zhao Lihua from Baishan City was arrested and taken to the Weizigou Detention Center on May 26, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong.
Mr. Li Weiqing was also arrested and taken to the Weizigou Detention Center on May 26, 2017.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Xiuqin and Ms. Li Guixiang Harassed
Several officers from the Nanshan Police Station, Jiutai District, broke into Ms. Li Xiuqin's home and began to take pictures on the morning of May 26, 2017. They also went to Ms. Li Guixiang's home and harassed her.
3. [Linshui County, Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
Mr. Zhang Fengmu, Mr. Yang Mulin and Mr. Wang Hualin were harassed at home around the first and second weeks in May 2017. The officers photographed them and questioned them as to whether they still practiced Falun Gong.
Mr. Fang Jianglin, a retired teacher, received a phone call from and was harassed by the director of a police station on May 12, 2017.
Three police officers broke into Ms. Zhang Guorong's home and tore paintings off the wall.
4. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Aili Taken to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Zhang Aili was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center.
5. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qin Yuxiang's Home Ransacked
Zhou Huimin, a security officer from Nanjia Village, Fujia Town, and officers from the Zhangdian Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office broke into Ms. Qin Yuxiang's home and ransacked the place on the morning of May 24, 2017. They confiscated two photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Qin was not at home at the time. Her husband was beaten by the officers as he tried to reason with them.
6. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zang Jianxin Detained
Ms. Zang Jianxin was taken to the Weifang Detention Center.
7. [Mengshan County, Guangxi Province] Ms. Lu Huibi Officially Placed Under Arrest
Ms. Lu Huibi was arrested in Lipu County on April 6, 2017. She was officially placed under arrest after 37 days of detention. She was transferred back to Mengshan County, and held in the Mengshan Detention Center.
8. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Gu Minglong Detained
Mr. Gu Minglong was arrested by officers from the Zhoucun Police Station on the afternoon of May 26, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials. Officers from the Dingzhou City Police Department and the Zhoucun Police Station broke into Mr. Gu's home and ransacked it. They confiscated a notebook computer, Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and over 100 sheets of printing paper. Mr. Gu is held in the Dingzhou City Detention Center.

9. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Pang Xiaohong and Ms. Yang Jinmei Officially Placed Under Arrest
Ms. Pang Xiaohong, Ms. Yang Jinmei, and Ms. Cai Qing were arrested by several officers from the Niutouya Police Station, Beidaihe Police Department, and the Qinhuangdao SWAT Team on April 27, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong. On the 14th day of their detention, Ms. Pang and Ms. Yang were placed under criminal detention. On May 25 Ms. Pang and Ms. Yang were officially placed under arrest by the Beidaihe District Procuratorate.
In addition, Ms. Zhang Yuqin and Mr. He Yixing were officially placed under arrest by the Zunhua City Procuratorate.
10. [Honghu City, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Wang Qingyu, Ms. Xia Yan, Ms. Xu Xiao, Ms. Yang Zhihui and Ms. Xiong Zhengying were arrested by officers from the Chahe Town Police Station for distributing Falun Gong materials in Chahe Town on the afternoon of May 26, 2017. Ms. Xiong was released at 12 a.m. that night. The other four practitioners were taken to the Honghu Detention Center.

11. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Ai'e Detained
Ms. Chen Ai'e was arrested and taken to the Wuxue City Detention Center on May 24, 2017.
12. [Qichun County, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Meiyu Taken to a Psychiatric Hospital
Ms. Chen Meiyu was arrested and taken to the Zhimashan Psychiatric Hospital in April 2017.
13. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liu Fenggao Detained
Mr. Liu Fenggao was transferred to the Dingcheng District Detention Center.
14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Juan Given a Four-Year Prison Term
Ms. Liu Juan, 47, from Development Zone was given a four-year prison term. She appealed and the Dalian City Intermediate Court upheld the original verdict. Ms. Liu was arrested on April 21, 2016. She was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison on May 23, 2017.
15. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Bi Qinghua Arrested
Mr. Bi Qinghua from Daowai District, was arrested and pushed into a police car by officers from the Daxing Police Station on the afternoon of May 27, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.
