(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 28 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Shufen Tried While Bedridden
Ms. Gao Shufen was tried in her home in Bajiazi Town, Jianchang County on the morning of April 25, 2024. She lay on her bed with her eyes closed during the entire process. Lianshan District Court judge Liu Xiaotang, a Lianshan Procuratorate prosecutor, and more than ten police officers were present. Her husband entered a not guilty plea, but was stopped by the judge when he’d just read one page of his statement. When the judge, prosecutor and police left, they said that a written verdict would be delivered in a few days.
2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Wenzhou Detained
Mr. Wang Wenzhou was arrested by officers from the Xili Police Station on April 10, 2024. His home was ransacked. His computers, printers, and Falun Gong books were confiscated.
The Qiaoxi District Procuratorate issued his arrest warrant on April 25, 2024. He is being held in the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center.
3. [Mei County, Guangdong Province] Additional News on the Arrest of Ms. He Xinlan and Others
Ms. He Xinfeng should be listed as Ms. He Xinlan in the Minghui report “Meizhou City, Guangdong Province: 14 Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested in Three Days” of April 27, 2024.
Police searched Ms. He’s motorcycle and seized her cell phone. They found the addresses of Feng and Fen in her phone, and ransacked their homes. Fen’s computer and Falun Gong books were confiscated. Feng was arrested. Her computers, printers, and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated.
Zou Xiufen, Zeng Xizhen, Liu Haibo, and He Xinlan were held in a detention center in Meizhou City. Zeng Xiuqiong, Xie Guofen, and Feng were held in a detention center in Zhuyang Village, Meixian District. Fan Laiying is in her 70s, and Liu Biqing has high blood pressure. The detention center refused to take them and they were released the next afternoon.
4. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yuan Qiongxiu Arrested
Ms. Yuan Qiongxiu was in the Chuanzhong Market on April 28, 2024. Several plainclothes officers suddenly approached her, held her arms behind her, tied her wrists with a cable tie, photographed her, and arrested her.
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Xinping Arrested
Ms. Li Xinping was arrested by plainclothes officers while she was distributing Falun Gong fliers on April 25, 2024. Her home was ransacked.
6. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Jian Detained
Mr. Sun Jian of Panshan County had to leave home for many years to avoid the persecution. He was arrested in Jinzhou City and taken to the Nanshan Detention Center on April 13, 2024. His place was ransacked. He was formally arrested, and his case was sent to the Linghai Procuratorate.
7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhao Jie Imprisoned
Ms. Zhao Jie was sentenced to eight years in prison. She was transferred to the Fourth Division in the Chengdu Women’s Prison on January 10, 2024.
8. [Chongqing] Mr. Zou Xiaojun Not Allowed to Leave Home
Mr. Zou Xiaojun of Bishan District stepped out of his house and walked to his electric bike on the morning of April 26, 2024. Two community clerks blocked him. One called the Biquan Police Station. Officers came, took him to the police station, and ordered him to stay home.
9. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Liu Chunxia Tried for the Second Time
Ms. Liu Chunxia of Huyi District was tried for the second time in the Lianhu District Court on April 14, 2024.
10. [Shanghai] Ms. Tang Aihong Under Surveillance
Ms. Tang Aihong of Pudong District was under home surveillance from April 21 to April 26, 2024.
11. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Song Zhumei and Ms. Li Shuang Detained
Ms. Song Zhumei and Ms. Li Shuang were arrested by Domestic Security Division officers around April 15, 2024, when they were distributing Falun Gong flyers in Balijinzhuang Village, Suining County. The next day, Ms. Song’s husband, Mr. Li Genlong, was arrested at work, and Ms. Li’s husband, Mr. Wang Chao, was also arrested. Mr. Wang’s bank card and car were confiscated. Mr. Li and Mr. Wang were released. Ms. Song and Ms. Li are detained.
12. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xu Ruixiong Detained
Mr. Xu Ruixiang was arrested by officers from the Pandong Town Police Station on the afternoon of April 25, 2024, after someone reported him for distributing Falun Gong flyers and talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is being held in the Jiedong Detention Center.
13. [Beijing] Ms. Hu Xingxian Harassed
Ms. Hu Xingxian, 82, was harassed at home by the director and a community officer from the Shibalidian Police Station on the morning of April 22, 2024. Her Falun Gong printouts were confiscated.
14. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Lixia Detained
Ms. Li Lixia was arrested by two officers from the Zhentou Police Station around 9:00 p.m. on March 25, 2024. Her home was ransacked. It was said that she was formally arrested and was being held in the No. 2 Detention Center.
15. [Beijing] Court Withheld Ms. Deng Chunxian’s Pension
Ms. Deng Chunxian, 83, from the Fengtai District, was sentenced to three years in prison and fined 3,000 yuan by the Fengtai Court on June 15, 2023. When she went to her bank to withdraw her pension on March 4, 2024, she found that 3,000 yuan was deducted from her account on January 8, 2024. Transaction details showed it was deducted by the court.
