"To be a good man, the requirements in this dimension are benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, truthfulness, and so on." (Excerpt from Falun Dafa - Lecture in Switzerland)

Ever since Jiang Zemin started to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, he has issued innumerable secret orders to force both political and legal systems to apply all brutal means possible against them. Over 50,000 people have been detained simply because of their practice. Countless families have been torn apart, couples have been separated, senior citizens and children have lost their loved ones. He has even encouraged unimaginable tortures that have led to the deaths of more than 50 people who would simply like to hold on to their beliefs. The brutality of the suppression is heartbreaking. What is the terrible sin that led to such torment? As a national leader, Jiang's treatment of his own citizens shows a decided lack of benevolence.

April 25, 1999, Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of Zhongnanhai (the Chinese Leadership compound). The peaceful appeal was based on their trust of the government. They went there to tell the truth about Falun Gong. As a Prime Minister should do, Zhu Rongji came out and spoke to the practitioners, listened to their explanations, and looked into issues raised by them. After the situation was resolved, the tolerant and compromising attitude of the Chinese government and Falun Gong practitioners received praise from both China and overseas countries. But Jiang had different political motive than Zhu, he plotted the banning Falun Gong and a criticism of Zhu. Jiang clings obstinately to his own course despite the opposition from other leaders in the central government. Treating his own citizens in this way indicates a lack of righteousness.

As the highest leader of a nation, he even gave booklets which defamed Falun Gong as gifts to leaders of other nations, causing their diplomats to look askance at China. This shows a lack of courtesy.

Falun Gong has enabled people to strengthen their bodies and has led them towards more compassion and kindness. It is beneficial and harmless to any nation and any people. When facing injustice, genuine practitioners always look inward to find their own inappropriate behavior, words or conduct, and will not fight for personal gain. They even gave up their own jobs so that others might keep theirs. They are the most stabilizing factor in the Chinese society. Lao Zi said: "Non-action wins a nation." In Jiang Zemin's taking action to suppress such peaceful people, he is destroying the stability of the society. This shows a lack of wisdom.

When interviewed by Mike Wallace from CBS, Jiang lied in front of the whole world. He claimed that thousands of Falun Gong practitioners had committed suicide because of the practice; he claimed that the founder of Falun Gong propagated the ideas that the world is coming to an end and that he is the reincarnation of Buddha and Jesus. People who have some basic knowledge of Falun Gong could easily discredit such lies. This shows a lack of truthfulness.

Just from the suppression of Falun Gong in China, people can see that Jiang lacks benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, and truthfulness. Some have said that Jiang's cruel nature has even led to the many natural disasters and repeated accidents in Mainland China over the past year. The heavens have given a clear warning. However, Jiang not only refuses to correct his mistake, but instead, escalates his suppression of Falun Gong practitioners. He has reached the opposite side of the basic principle of being a human. Jiang has gone too far and has enraged the heavens for too long.

As always, Falun Gong practitioners will uphold the "Zhen-Shan-Ren" principles imparted by their teacher, Li Hongzhi, resort to only peaceful means, and use their compassionate words and actions to tell the world the truth about the Falun Gong situation.
