The Fa rectification process has stepped into a phase that all of our efforts should open a window to help "clarify the truth about Falun Gong to ordinary people." At present, various means are being adopted in many areas to clarify the truth to ordinary people, which has helped make clear the vicious rumors smeared by Jiang Zemin and his subordinates, thereby, having a positive effect upon the public.
Regarding the present special situation, discussed below are some thoughts aiming to improve our positions.
After the 7.20 incident (i.e., the incident in which ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners peacefully demonstrated in front of Zhongnanhai where the Chinese central government is situated), what immoral forces feared the most was that we came out into the public's clear view to state our claims. We practiced and made peaceful appeals to the government as one body, in order to validate Dafa (Great Law; Universal Principles). Later, what those sinister officials feared most was that we were able to remain firm and communicate amongst one another. All this, despite the fact those unprincipled officials were relentless in our persecution. Another encouraging factor was that we acted from our own comprehension of the Fa, since Master Li, kept quiet at this time to see how we would carry about. Moreover, our courageous appeals in Tiananmen Square, in Beijing, proved that we are not to be intimidated. Gradually, the situation has changed. Now it appears that Jiang Zemin, is afraid of us "clarifying the truth to the public". Since this targets everyday people's hearts and conscience, some people are becoming more clearheaded and realizing how bad the persecution is. Thus, Jiang and his subordinates have made the penalties and inhumane acts towards practitioners who print and distribute materials more severe.
Dafa disciples' great actions of safeguarding Dafa at Tiananmen Square, wave upon wave and the vicious performance of Jiang's hired-thugs have been broadly reported by the world media. These reports have helped people worldwide see the peacefulness and courage of Dafa disciples. Furthermore, they have helped expose the viciousness and cruel actions carried out by President Jiang and his accomplices. It is clear how powerful the media's impact is. Conversely, we should be careful not to do anything that could be used against us. Most of us are aware of how certain events can easily be manipulated or distorted to give a falsified impression. This has been one of the tactics used by the Chinese government; just look at how they used the incident where several people immulated themselves with gasoline (e.g., http://www.cnn.com/2001/ASIANOW/east/01/23/china.falungong.04/index.html). The media reported it as though they were practitioners, further smearing our image. This has nothing to do with our Dafa's principles. Therefore I think, on the basis of this, we can consider and compare some other means to clarify the truth and expose the evil more flexibly, efficiently and broadly. Everyone has a special skill, talent, ability, these should be used and expressed by the powerful wisdom endowed to us by Dafa. We should all learn to play a role as a Dafa particle maximally.1. From "what I want to do" to "what Dafa needs me to do"
We Dafa disciples in Mainland China and disciples overseas are one body. Not only do we need to expose immoral behavior, clarify the truth and save secular people in Beijing ?the center of Jiang's corrupt forces. But we also need to take care of people in all areas of the country, big and small cities, counties and villages. At present, the truth about Dafa is already rooted into the hearts of many people. However, people in other areas have not had a chance to learn of us; as Dafa materials are still very deficient. We need to strengthen efforts to carry out the work of clarifying the truth more broadly and deeply.
In "The Lecture in Switzerland", Master said "In the past, cultivators said, 'I am doing something', 'I want to do something...' Actually they did not get rid of that 'selfishness'. However, what I want you to reach is a real pure, selfless, real consummation with righteous thoughts and righteous enlightenment, can you reach eternal non-extermination." In many cases, if we can put down our own motivations and intentions and consider ourselves as part of the whole body, we will know how to play the role of a Dafa particle better.2. Clarify the truth with pure benevolence!
Although some practitioners are clarifying the truth, they neglect the "clarifying" or informative aspect of it. If we cannot make the truth clear and explain it in depth, people's perception and understanding toward Dafa will remain superficial. Their misunderstandings will not have been rectified and cleansed of the persistent Chinese propaganda. Therefore, we should take into consideration each and every individual and how to be more informative towards them. For instance, except for slogans, we need combinations of informative facts and comments to let people know the truth. Every situation is unique and not by chance, we should therefore accommodate ourselves to this. Another example is how can we distribute material more effectively; which are printed out through skimping and saving and overcome lots of difficulties to acquire them. We should be asking ourselves how we could maximize our effects in Fa rectification? If you can't come up with answers you can learn from others who have succeeded in this area. We can learn from each other as to what works and what doesn't. Remember an attachment is like a wall, we have to help the public break down this wall so that they can become more clear-headed about our practice.
Unfolding banners and practicing Dafa exercises in Tiananmen, validating Dafa with our hearts, and defying brutal forces with righteousness-- shock tourists deeply. Spreading truths and exposing the wrongful persecution of Falun Dafa among relatives, friends, co-workers, government departments and schools, on streets and lanes, can also help many people clarify their misperception and obtain a correct understanding toward Dafa. Therefore, various forms of truth clarification in various circumstances are important. At the same time, in terms of documentation type work, only if all the relative aspects are ensured, including being connected to the Internet, editing, printing and distribution, etc. Can our truth clarifying work be effective and deepen.
3. "Great Way is Formless"
Fa rectification is formless. Therefore, we should approach such matters from all angles and leave no stone unturned. We should pay careful attention to those malicious human beings that stand in the way of the most compassionate Dafa (Great Law; Universal Principles) so we can adopt new measures to expose them. If we can reach a state where we are one step ahead of them, and can successfully coordinate our efforts according to this, I think we will have reached an optimum state. So for those who have special talents or capabilities within society, this should be taken advantage of. The practice has proved that during our truth clarifying work, by adopting a "formless" way and incorporating insightful means to solve problems the effects can prove to be very good.
Especially, the well-coordinated actions in some areas, not only shook unprincipled individuals at their foundation but also displays the strength of Dafa widely. Dafa particles are one body, we should communicate as a whole and confront issues in any level and by any means. Because this is in accordance to the principle of "great way is formless", it is the most powerful, which makes corrupt individuals unable to seize any opportunity to do wrong.
We have demonstrated to the world that we are willing to stand up for our beliefs in Dafa. Many have even had their lives taken and others have suffered tremendously at the hands of wicked people. We must continue our efforts diligently and enable the human world to come to know the great benevolence our Master, which he has displayed for us all. Now maybe we can understand when Master says, "no one is qualified to test Dafa". We do not recognize the persecution imposed upon us and resist evil in every aspect. At the same time, we need to put down the self to a larger extent, apply the wisdom endowed by Dafa and play the role of a Dafa particle fully in the formless manner of Fa rectification.
