Since the middle of December, it has been snowing continuously in the Chicago area. The temperature has also dropped abruptly. The lowest wind-chill factor fell to minus 20 F to 30 F. This awfully cold weather did not deter Falun Gong practitioners from holding appeals activities in front of the Chinese consulate. On Saturdays, the Dafa particles have been practicing the exercises and making appeals in front of the Consulate General. By their actions they fulfilled their vows. With our actions, we let those people [at the consulate] know that "Forbearance (Ren)" is not cowardice, nor is it protecting oneself, much less is it yielding to the evil. "Forbearance" is the selfless and persistent pursuit of the universal truth. Especially in adversity, its greatness manifests itself even more.
