Spreading Dafa on the Beach in La Jolla

[Clearwisdom.net] Every weekend, Falun Dafa practitioners from San Diego practice at several different sites around the area. La Jolla is a popular beach town in the northern suburbs of San Diego. Local practitioners set up a display on the beach introducing the Falun Dafa exercises and exposing the persecution our practitioners face in China. The display attracted many tourists visiting the area from the U.S.A. and all over the world.

Many people passing by stopped to get a closer look at the pictures of practitioners in China covered all over with cuts and bruises from police beatings. They paid particular attention to the reports of over 100 cases of innocent practitioners being tortured to death. Every single reader condemned Jiang and his followers, whose acts have brutally violated basic human rights. Many people asked how they could help us stop this crime against humanity. An American couple remarked, "It is terrible! You are doing the right thing to let the people of the world know what is happening in China, and to call for moral support for Falun Dafa practitioners." Tears appeared on the lady's face. She said that she could not help but cry as soon as she started talking about this matter. One of our practitioner's was so touched by her sincerity and kindness that she hugged her good-bye. Just before leaving she added, "I admire Falun Dafa practitioners for their courage, and I will pray for you all."

Things like this happen to us almost every weekend. We tell those that ask how they can help that the best support they can give is to let more people know the truth, to tell their friends and relatives. If every citizen of the world, every single member of international communities realizes and condemns the current violation of human rights in China, then we could stop such crimes against humanity from continuing.

We often meet Chinese tourists, students and immigrants at our sites. Most of them have little knowledge of how brutal the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners is in China. Some of them have only heard the lies and slanderous remarks about Falun Dafa fabricated by the Chinese government propaganda machine. Clarifying the truth to them with reason, using kind words and pictures of the truth of the situation in China, many of them express disagreement with the extreme measures used to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. Some Chinese people even went so far as to say that the government should keep it's hands off harmless citizens who simply seek the freedom to practice peacefully and without interference. During these conversations we see the benevolent side of their hearts that remain when all of the lies and slander are removed.

Facing violence and brutal suppression throughout the past year and a half, Falun Dafa practitioners continue to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance advocated by Master Li. They strive for freedom of belief in a peaceful and non-violent manner. Their exceptional courage wins the recognition, respect and support of an increasingly large number of people around the world. A young man from Canada indicated that he would definitely express his concern over this matter to the Canadian government and call on them to try their best to help. When he learned that many cities such as San Diego had declared Falun Dafa Week so that more and more people are learning the truth about Falun Dafa here in the West, he chuckled and said "wow, what a contrast!"

Every day many tourists ask for information about Falun Dafa when they visit our practice site, with many choosing to learn the exercises on the spot. After having learned 3 sets of exercises, two girls from Mexico told us that they have never felt so comfortable and happy. They said excitedly that when they return to San Diego, they would definitely come to practice at the beach with us again. A gentleman from Australia came back to get several more copies of Dafa information after he had learned the exercises. He said, "Even though I only did it once, I know this exercise is good. I will encourage my friends to come and learn, too."

Seeing people react in this way, we can't help but be excited because the beauty of Falun Dafa will sooner or later be discovered and recognized by more and more good people. No political force or slandering propaganda can control the will of the people. Just like Master Li said, "People became clearheaded and now they're reconsidering and reevaluating all these.
