On October 1, four of us started the walk from Ottawa to New York. Manotick was the first town we passed. At about 3pm, a reporter was waiting at the road we had to pass. Upon seeing us, she told us that she could not relate what the Chinese government had said about Falun Gong to us as we are so peaceful and would never hurt people. She could not understand why the Chinese government would persecute Falun Gong. We clarified the truth to her. The next day, the newspaper published a very positive article on the SOS! Global RescueWalk.
