The constant progress of the Fa-Rectification puts new and higher requirements on our Fa-spreading and truth-clarification work. It seems that handing out newspapers and other Dafa materials to passersby is inadequate. In order to catch up with the progress of the Fa-rectification, we should expand our efforts to clarify the truth so that more people will know the truth about Falun Dafa, and so that more people will be saved from being deceived by the evil forces.

After we heard the news that the Prime Minister of Canada was going to visit China this October, we decided to take advantage of this opportunity. So we used postcards to urge the Canadian people to join us in appealing to the Prime Minister to ask Jiang Zemin's regime to stop persecuting Falun Gong.

The front of the postcard uses photos to show how Dafa practitioners were arrested or tortured, while the back has a letter to the Prime Minister of Canada on it. In the letter, we expressed our wishes that during his visit to China in October, he would openly condemn the Jiang Zemin regime's oppression of Falun Gong.

This "Postcard Campaign" has been carried out mainly in educational institutions and labor unions for about a month now. It has earned strong support from students, faculty, and labor union members.

At colleges, we first introduced Dafa to student associations, then clarified the truth about the persecution of Dafa practitioners in China, and explained the significance of the "Postcard Campaign." Student associations at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver Community College, and Kwantlen University endorsed this by sending letters to other institutions in the greater Vancouver area to encourage them to assist in launching the campaign. Immediately, we received overwhelming support from the student unions at the University of Victoria and other colleges and universities. With the support of student organizations at eight institutions, we started to tell people about Falun Dafa when they first began to hold orientation fairs. We posted a lot of introductory materials, and set up some booths with bulletin boards to hand out the postcards there. We also went to some schools without student unions to post Dafa materials and hand out the postcards. So far, we have given out about 10,000 postcards in just one month.

Through the postcards, students and faculty at the institutions have learned what Falun Gong is and how the Falun Dafa practitioners have been brutally tortured in China. This has enabled the readers of the postcards to be saved from being deceived by the evil slander from China. At the same time, we effectively spread Dafa through these activities.

During this period, many of the institutions' newspapers and radio stations published articles or aired long programs about Falun Gong. Of course, these reports introduced Falun Dafa positively and revealed the evil persecution in China to a lot of readers and listeners. Some newspaper reporters interviewed many practitioners, and even asked us to contact them often to give them updates about Falun Gong. They promised to get the information out to media agencies quickly.

The "Postcard Campaign" also gained a lot of support from a number of labor unions. For example, the British Columbia Federation of Labor (CLC) and the Vancouver and District Labor Council even arranged to have some practitioners speak about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China at their senate conferences. After they learned that we printed all the postcards with our own money, those union senators were very moved and voluntarily gave us a supportive suggestion, "We can print the content on our union letterhead, and have our members sign them and send them out."

The president of the National Canadian Union of Public Employee, Ms. Judy Darcy, even wrote a letter to the Prime Minister of Canada. In her letter, she asked the Prime Minister to:

"Openly condemn the severe human rights violations against Falun Gong practitioners in China; raise the Falun Gong issue during your trip to China in October; request the unconditional release of Shenli Lin, husband of a Canadian citizen, and put the Falun Gong issue as a top priority during the bilateral human rights dialogue between Canada and China this coming fall."

With hundreds of thousands of members, both the National Union of Public and General Services Employees and the United Steelworkers of America also wrote letters to ask the Prime Minister to condemn the Jiang Zemin regime's persecution of Falun Gong.

Through this "Postcard Campaign," we felt deep in our hearts the great power of Falun Dafa. If we remember our duty to assist our Master in Fa-rectification, and use every moment to try to clarify the truth, we can develop a new situation, because the key to every success is Dafa. As Master Li said in his book Zhuan Falun, "Without human action happening under cosmic changes, such conditions would not have been brought to ordinary human society, and neither would they be called cosmic changes."
