The Fa Rectification Story of a 79-Year-Old Practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) An extremely faithful 79-year-old female Dafa practitioner told us that she heard Teacher was going to spread the Fa when she was very young. Her heart is very pure, and she always says, "How wonderful it would be if I were a dozen years younger, so I could do more work for Dafa. How good it is for you young people to be doing things for Dafa." When she met practitioners who were destitute and homeless, she gave them her clothes and money out of her own living expenses and said, "This is all I can do. It's hard being a Dafa practitioner!"

She wanted to go to Beijing to validate Dafa a long time ago to fulfill her vow. After reading Teacher's article "Fa Rectification Period Dafa Disciples," she couldn't stay at home anymore. She planned to go to Beijing to validate Dafa during the National Day Holiday [October 1, 2001]. She went to her daughter's home twice, and on both occasions she had cerebral hemorrhage symptoms and passed out, so her daughter sent her to a hospital. After recovering consciousness, she sat up and did the sitting meditation, and insisted on getting out of the hospital. Her symptoms disappeared after she got home. On the morning of October 1, she wanted to go to Wangfujing [the business area in Beijing] before she went to Tiananmen Square. Ever since she planned to go to Beijing to rectify the Fa, she had been in high spirits and exceptionally energetic. Before, she couldn't stand steady and her left hand couldn't even hold a bowl steadily, all of which were cured this time. After getting off the bus, she walked to Jinshui Bridge in Tiananmen Square.

There was a crowd of people on Jinshui Bridge. She stood aside and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa! Restore my Teacher's reputation! Restore Dafa's reputation!" She said, right then her heart became clear and light. Her daughter did not stop her. She said to her daughter, "Our neighbor Lao Li has four children, all of whom do not want to take care of the old couple, so they have to stay in a nursing home. I have only one child--you. If I didn't practice Falun Gong and if my health did not become so good, you would have to either take care of me or spend money sending me to the nursing home. Think for yourself, isn't it good for our family that I practice Falun Gong?" Her daughter's attitude changed and she did not listen to the TV's propaganda like she did before. Her son-in-law also taught her granddaughter, "Grandma has lived a long time and experienced a lot of things; so don't restrict her."

Now her daughter has also become generous and kind. She sometimes says to her mother, "Others don't understand me and call me silly." Then this older practitioner says, "What does 'treating others with kindness' mean? You treat them well when they understand you and you still treat him well when they don't understand you. That is treating others with kindness."
