Reflections from the Journey to Luxembourg

(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday October 21, 2001, a practitioner began to develop a very serious cough. Some practitioners thought that in this period of time any interference with one's physical body should not be treated completely as a personal matter, nor should it be simply categorized as individual karma elimination. It was interference to our global urgent rescue walk campaign and its purpose was to weaken practitioners' determination, prevent us from thinking about exposing the evil, and hinder us from returning home.

Some practitioners recalled Teacher's words, "Righteous Fa spreading, Ten thousand demons blocking"[Teacher's poem "New Life" from Hongyin, unofficial translation], and understood that this was directed at the Fa. The evil forces attempt to ruin the wills of practitioners in China by making them say, "I give up." For overseas practitioners, it disturbs us by making us lose the motivation to participate in Fa rectification, or to join the SOS walks and other Fa rectification activities. It makes practitioners mentally confused and creates chaos in their energy fields. So long as you are affected, you are restricted by the arrangement of the evil forces, such as, losing money, feeling pain in your feet, back and legs, coughing, and even losing your passport. So long as your mind is not righteous, you will be deceived. Once one's mind is disturbed a little bit, one's thoughts will be distracted. Then the evil that creates this disturbance can further strengthen such interference. What will happen next can cause a more serious disturbance at the ordinary human level. If you don't study the Fa well at this time and enlighten based on the Fa, but instead try to find out how other practitioners quickly recovered from their "sickness," such a comparison will only strengthen the false notions and distracting thoughts to make you not believe in Dafa. Cultivation is not an ordinary human matter. Trying to find a paradigm or a model to compare it to can only lead us to be even more unbalanced in our hearts. In cultivation, whoever understands will gain [naturally] and whoever believes will attain what they deserve. Each practitioner has a different cultivation path. "But a person always has to enlighten on his own to what he should do in the face of tribulations. Every time a person improves, the Attainment Status he has validated and enlightened to rises. The path a Dafa disciple takes is a glorious history, and this history has to be created by his own enlightening." [Teacher's recent article "Path"]

Some practitioners discussed the article "The Radiance of an Enlightened Being" published on October 1, on Clearwisdom.net. [http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/10/11/14623.html] Everybody felt that the practitioners who "believe," who can "be obedient," and who are "uneducated persons with much less acquired notions," could rectify everything around them with their natural righteous thoughts. They are truly in the position of "having your heart unaffected you will be able to handle all situations." [Teacher's article: "Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)] Through their actions, they illustrated to us what the mighty virtue of enlightened beings is like, what every steady step in cultivation is, what a solid foundation from studying the Fa should be, and what is meant by saying that the Fa can strengthen one's righteous thoughts. By studying the Fa, you are changing. By studying the Fa, you are improving.
