[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Police Illegally Kidnap Over Ten Falun Dafa Practitioners, Including a Six-Month-Old Baby

According to the Shijiazhuang City police, the police in Hebei Province took action simultaneously to illegally kidnap over ten practitioners on August 11, 2001. One practitioner was not at home at the time, so the police forcibly took away his six-month-old baby. Later the police took away his wife too.

[Gaoyi County, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Guoying Vomits Blood and Passes Blood in Stool for Seven Days - Her Life is in Danger

Hebei Province, Gaoyi County female practitioners are all illegally detained in Gaoyi County Custodial Center. Practitioner Zhang Guoying and Dong Shengrui have been on a hunger strike for over twelve days to protest the illegal detention. The vicious police in the custodial center beat Zhang Guoying savagely and she has vomited blood and passed blood in her stool for at least seven days. Her life is in great danger. Dong Shengrui's situation is very bad too. In spite of the danger to their lives, the custodial center not only didn't release the two practitioners, but also sent them to Shijiazhuang Labor Camp for two-year terms. Somehow the two practitioners were sent back, and so they are still detained in the Gaoyi Custodial Center. The authorities there refuse to release them.

We call for everyone in the world that would uphold justice to help these practitioners and to make phone calls condemning these inhuman crimes. We believe that the righteous forces united together will change the whole world.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Persist in Practicing Falun Gong Openly and Uprightly

When Changchun City Falun Dafa Practitioner Liu Yaqian was arrested in Shenzhen City of Guangdong Province, she shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is good" while police were taking her away. The police immediately covered her head with clothing and punched and kicked her to stop her shouting. When Liu refused to cooperate with the lawless guards that ordered her to wear the prisoner's clothes in Shenzhen Custodial Center, a female guard threatened her viciously, "If you don't wear it, I'll get two male guards to strip off your clothes!"

Liu Yaqian went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. The guards there instigated the prisoners in her cell to strictly monitor her. Once Liu practiced Falun Gong, the prisoners would beat her. Because of her perseverance, she was beaten badly and had bruises all over her body. This situation continued until Liu reported this to the head of the custodial center and told him firmly, "Falun Dafa disciple's righteous thoughts are powerful. I am determined not to cooperate with the evil." Her strong righteous thoughts shocked the staff of the custodial center and after that she could practice openly and uprightly there. She still persisted in practicing Falun Gong openly and uprightly after she was transferred back to Changchun Tiebei Detention Center.

[Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Twenty-Four Falun Dafa Practitioners Start a Hunger Strike on September 18 at the Chicheng County Xiaodiaoe Brainwashing Class

The Hebei Province Zhangjiakou City Chicheng County Xiaodiaoe Brainwashing Class has detained over 50 Falun Gong practitioners for almost four months in order to prevent them from going to Beijing to appeal to higher authorities. During this period, most practitioners have suffered bodily discomforts and many practitioners have shown symptoms of high blood pressure. Except for four seriously ill practitioners that were sent to a hospital, all the others are still detained there. In order to protest the illegal detention and the forceful brainwashing, twenty-four practitioners started a hunger strike on the afternoon of September 18, 2001 to demand their immediate release. They are using their lives to awaken the people's benevolent thoughts toward Falun Dafa and to uphold the dignity of Falun Dafa. We hereby appeal to all the kind-hearted people around the world to pay close attention to these practitioners who are on hunger strike and to help them reunite with their families soon.

[Suizhou City, Hubei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Reported to the Police while Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials

Some malicious persons reported Suizhou City Falun Dafa practitioners Ke Yugang and Dong Fenghua to the police about one month ago, suspecting them of distributing truth-clarifying materials at Lishan Township. The police illegally arrested them and they are now detained in the Suizhou City No. 1 Custodial Center. According to some reliable sources, Ke Yugang and another practitioner, Kang Gang, (reported on in Clearwisdom.net before) had been secretly transferred to a newly built place in the Zengdu District where they would probably receive even harsher punishments.

When he went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa in October of 1999, Ke Yugang's employer, Hubei Province Tieshu Group Inc., illegally detained him. The punishment imposed on him included a public criticism circulated throughout the company. His salary was reduced for two years, so that he only gets 90 Yuan RMB (about 1/5 of an average Chinese urban worker's monthly salary) for his living expenses every month. In the spring of 2000, Ke was sentenced to one-year's imprisonment and was held in the No. 1 Detention Center because he went to Beijing to appeal to higher authorities. Later on, he "enlightened along an evil path," forsaking Dafa, and so was directly transferred to the No. 2 Custodial Center where he stayed until May 2000. Then he served the term outside of the prison under surveillance.

He came to realize his mistake this year by studying the Fa. He then went to Beijing to validate the Fa about two months ago and successfully walked away from detention in the local government's liaison office in Beijing. But because he gave his name to them, he now has to roam about to avoid arrest since returning to Suizhou City.

In the evening of September 19, 2001, Falun Dafa Practitioners Feng Yanfang and Chen Wenqing (an employee of Hubei Province Tieshu Group Inc.) distributed truth-clarifying materials in the Suizhou City Wenfeng High School. An old man in the reception office reported them to the police. They were then detained in the Dongcheng Police Station. Their case was reported to the City Public Security Department and the department requested that Suizhou City No. 1 and No. 2 Custodial Centers detain them. But both of the two custodial centers said the practitioners' case didn't satisfy the requirements for a criminal detention and thus refused to detain the practitioners. The malicious policeman Hu Anmin (one of the people responsible for persecuting Falun Gong) later took a few people to ransack Chen Wenqing's home and found some Falun Dafa books and truth-clarifying literature. He then sent the practitioners to the No. 1 Custodial Center.

In the evening of September 24, 2001, six local practitioners and a driver (a non-practitioner) were captured while they were distributing truth-clarifying literature in Hongshan Township, and were then sent to the No. 1 Custodial Center. Among them, Ge Qingshan and Leng Shunchang are employees of Tieshu Group Inc. Sun Hongjing is a relative of a Suizhou railway employee. Wei Kexiu lives in the No. 1 Custodial Center employees' apartment community. The names of the other two are unknown. Because Hongshan Township was far away from their homes, they took a taxi to go there. Now even the taxi driver has also been detained in the No. 1 Custodial Center.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] The Changchun City Chaoyanggou Labor Camp Cruelly Persecutes Dafa Practitioners

Practitioner Wang Qisheng is illegally detained in Squad Five of the Changchun City Chaoyanggou Labor Camp. The malicious guards locked him in a small cell for one month and nine days. Wang suffered from various inhumane tortures during this period of time. Over one month ago, Squad Five organized a "study group" to read articles slandering Falun Dafa. Not wanting to listen, he slipped into the hallway. After a guard found out, several vicious officers beat him badly and locked him in a solitary confinement cell for almost forty days. The Squad Five Commander Zhu is directly involved in the crimes of inhumane persecution against Dafa practitioners.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Officers from the Changchun City Chongqing Road Police Station Illegally and Forcefully Take Practitioners Away from Their Homes

Officers from the Changchun City Chongqing Road Police Station police illegally kidnapped four Falun Dafa practitioners in Dehui City and ransacked their homes.

On July 16 of 2001 in Dehui City, a few malicious police from the Chongqing Road Police Station illegally broke into the apartment of practitioners He Wen and Li Zhenyun. The police officers took them away and stole many of their possessions from the apartment. The criminal police also arrested two other practitioners, Yang Zhenbiao and Xiong (last name unknown), who were at their home at the time. The cops tried to force the practitioners to give them information of other practitioners in order to capture more practitioners. But these four practitioners didn't cooperate with the police, and as a result they were viciously assaulted, then doused with water and shocked with electric batons until their skin was burned black and smoking. After torturing their captives all night, the captors sent the two female practitioners to the Tiebei Custodial Center. The other two male practitioners were secretly detained at the Tiexi Custodial Center. Thirty-seven days later, without notice to the practitioners' families or the local police Station, the Chongqing Road Police Station secretly and illegally sentenced the four practitioners to one-year imprisonment in a labor camp and sent them respectively to the Heizuizi and the Chaoyanggou Labor Camps.

Now, only Li Zhenyun has escaped by using righteous thoughts. The other three practitioners are still under illegal detention.

The following is a list of the personal properties that were taken possessions of by the police.

One computer, one printer, three boxes of A4 size paper, five Dafa books, one picture of Li Hongzhi, one recorder, twelve audio-tapes, eleven floppy disks, two cell phones, three pagers and 2,400 Yuan RMB. (about five months salary for an urban assembly-line worker.)

[Sanhe City, Hebei Province] A Disclosure of the Crimes Committed by the Hebei Province Sanhe City Government

At 2:30pm on September 23 of 2001, Li Wanqing, the Chief of the Hebei Province Sanhe City Chengguan Town Hospital, led a few police officers to practitioner Gao Guiyun's home. They climbed up to the roof of the house and jumped into the yard. Then they broke into her home and handcuffed Gao. They took her away, after stealing some Dafa books. Gao asked them, "Who told you to come here? Whose orders are you carrying out to search my home and handcuff me? Tell me your identity and the evidence of my crimes." The police officers answered, "We don't have identities to show you. The [local] government told us to do this because you are a Dafa practitioner."

When Bai Zhigang, Gao's husband, heard of this, he went to talk to Li and asked him for Gao. However, Li Wanqing didn't give him any explanations. Instead, Li called 110 (like 911 emergency call here in the States) and had Bai forcibly detained as well. Now nobody is taking care of their fourteen-year-old child that is left home alone. The couple's whereabouts are unknown.

[Baise City, Guangxi Province] Local Lawless Persons Persecute Dafa Practitioners

On the eve of National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival, Baise City in Guangxi Province set up a Special Task Force composed of 30 people headed by the City Committee Secretary in order to intensify the persecution of Dafa practitioners.

According to some Dafa practitioners who have access to the inside of the local government, the lawless people in Baise City Police Department are illegally arresting Dafa practitioners under the direction of the local "610 Office". Many practitioners have to leave home and their families are torn apart. The lawless people of the City Police Department tried to charge some Dafa practitioners that are in custody or sentenced to labor camps with trumped up charges through the court system. After they failed to achieve their goals, they themselves sentenced those practitioners to two years' imprisonment in labor camps.

[Yanshan County] Yanshan Police Department Initiates a Large-Scale Arrest of Practitioners

At a recent meeting of the Yanshan County Police Department, Falun Gong was listed as one of the six targets that the department will try to hunt down. Now there is an air of terror of arrests around the county. The targets are mainly those practitioners that left their homes to escape. The police department has already caught one practitioner. Here we remind our fellow practitioners who are sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the hellish evils.

The following is a list of the malicious people involved.

Wang Taichang is in charge of the local "610 Office." He doesn't listen to any good advice and is determined to do bad deeds.

Yang Jianzhong is the Chief of the Yanshan County Police Department

Ma RuiCai is in charge of the local brainwashing classes.

[Qiongshan City, Hainan Province] Sangongli Labor Camp Takes Away Practitioners' Clothes and Forces them to Wear Prison Garb

Recently the Hainan Province Qiongshan City Sangongli Labor Camp has been extremely malicious. The prison guards forced all practitioners that were illegally detained to wear the prison garb; however the practitioners firmly refused to do that. So the guards caught the practitioners by surprise and stole their change of clothes. The practitioners have only the pajamas that they were wearing. As Hainan Province is very close to the equator it gets extremely hot. The practitioners are forced to do hard labor all day long, causing them to sweat profusely. Since they are unable to change their clothes, they reek horribly of body odor. However the practitioners' firm righteous thoughts are unshakable. They firmly believe that it's not a crime to practice Falun Dafa, so they refuse to wear prison clothes. Over ten days have passed.

Also, this labor camp employs very cruel brainwashing methods. They quote out of context from Dafa books and lead some practitioners to "enlighten along an evil path." Recently, they have concocted some new tricks as well. They initiated a grading system regarding the brainwashing method. Accordingly, different evil acts get different scores. For example, swearing at Teacher, swearing at the Fa, spreading the evil "enlightenment", writing the "repentance statement", etc. are all given different scores. Only those that reach a certain total score that the labor camp has established might get released. Some practitioners that followed their plans are still trapped in the evil mentality now, even after they were released.

We suggest all of the Hainan Province Dafa practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil and to safeguard the Fa. Let's try even harder to clarify the truth using every means open to us.
