[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Neighborhood Administration Offices Begin a
Full-Scale Secret Registration of Falun Dafa Practitioners
Recently, Neighborhood Administration offices in Changchun have started to
secretly register all Falun Dafa practitioners in each residential area on a
wide-scale. They categorize the practitioners into "Practicing at
home," "Stopped practicing," "Practicing outside," etc.
We hope that people will pay attention to this disturbing development.
[Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Authorities have Begun Registering Key
Falun Dafa Practitioners (Possibly a Nationwide Activity)
Authorities from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, have also started
registering key practitioners (possibly a nationwide activity). Their database
includes such personal items as address, phone number, age, work unit, how long
the person has been practicing Falun Gong, and their activity since July 20,
1999 (date when the Jiang regime began the persecution against Falun
Gong.) They ordered the Neighborhood Administration Offices to monitor the
practitioners' activities, including when practitioners go out and where they
go, what they do, etc., so they can take every opportunity to persecute and
suppress Falun Dafa. The Neighborhood Administration Offices organized
"Security Maintenance Teams," each comprised of scores of people who
are funded by the government. They patrol up and down the residential blocks,
from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., mainly targeting Falun Dafa practitioners. Their chief
focus is to prevent the practitioners from clarifying the truth. We hope
practitioners will be aware of this and send forth righteous thoughts to
eliminate the evil.
[Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Jiang's Accomplices Persecute Falun
Dafa: Two High School Students Are Forced to Leave Home to Avoid the Persecution
Two sixteen-year-old high school students from Suileng County, Suihua City,
of Heilongjiang Province honestly answered questions regarding Falun Gong in
their Senior high school entrance exams, according to their own cultivation
experience. A coalition of government offices collaborated to force the two
students to publicly slander, and renounce their belief in Falun Dafa, by
threatening them and their parents through a variety of tactics. This coalition
was comprised of the Suihua City 610 Office (A "610 Office" is one
created by the government, specifically for persecuting Falun Gong); the Suileng
County 610 Office; the Suileng Education Committee and the Suileng Livestock
Farming Committee. They promised to allow the students to continue their studies
if they would cooperate. Because the two students remained steadfast in Falun
Dafa, however, the relevant departments of Suihua City made the stern
decision to send the 16 yr-old sturdents to a labor camp for three years.
In order to evade the continuous persecution, the young students traveled far
from their hometown and are living on the street. The police, who came to
capture the two teens, returned empty handed. Jiang's political group uses such
cruel tactics even on children, not to mention how maliciously they treat the
adult practitioners.
The local police continue to intimidate the parents of one student, in an
attempt to coerce them into revealing the whereabouts of their daughter. They
also said that if the parents refused to comply, the police threatened them with
physical abuse and torture, saying they were free of bearing any personal
responsibility for it. The parents had to leave their home too, in order to
evade the persecution. This is one example of how an entire family was
persecuted where their children were sentenced to labor camps and the entire
family had to become homeless to avoid this illegal and unreasonable
persecution.
[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Try to Capture Falun Dafa
Practitioners who Distribute Truth Clarifying Literature Before National Day
(October 1)
According to reliable sources, Harbin police hired a lot of unemployed people
to loiter around and help capture Falun Dafa practitioners who distribute
truth-clarifying literature, in order to further suppress Falun Gong before
National Day, October 1. There have been several instances of practitioners
getting captured lately.
[Inner Mongolia] Expose the Intimidation that Jiang's Regime Uses to
Persecute Falun Gong
I live in a small village in Inner Mongolia. My mom is currently homeless in
order to evade the control of Jiang and his accomplices. Because of this
situation, the vindictive police ransacked our home, searching for Falun Dafa
books. I passed the college entrance exams this year and was admitted to a
prestigious university. When I contacted the relevant department to get my
residence card, the police substation refused to process my application, saying
they would only do this after my mom was found. One policeman said, "This
is an order from the top." My grandpa went to argue with him. The unmoved
policeman said, "This case will be treated the same, everywhere you go. You
can't get it done anywhere." These words fully exposed the degenerate
attitude of the evil force that persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners.
Grandpa admonished them, "you're breaking laws in doing this." I
was sending forth righteous thoughts beside him. The stubborn cop murmured
repeatedly, "the law... the law..."
A few days later, the same policeman came to our home and said to me,
"You have to find your mom, otherwise you'll have trouble going to college.
You can ask your dad to find your mom. Ask him to think about it
seriously."
Because those malicious cops frequently came to my home to harass me, I had
to leave home too. I want to make a statement here. It's not that Falun Gong
practitioners don't want families. My family was a harmonious and happy one. It
is Jiang's regime that made my mom leave home to avoid persecution, and also
forbids me to attend the university. I have now decided not to attend the
university. Jiang Zemin's policies can't intimidate the genuine practitioners.
[Guizhou Province] The "Voice of the Universe" Heard in Guizhou
Province Labor Camps
One night several days ago, the Falun Dafa radio program, the "Voice of
the Universe," was simultaneously played at both the Guizhou Zhongba Labor
Camp and the Guizhou Women's Labor Camp. The officials and guards were in a
state of agitated confusion. It greatly encouraged the practitioners and it
shocked the evil force. According to the residents who live nearby, the gates of
the labor camp are tightly closed, even in the daytime now. It is reported that
the Guiyang Police are launching a large-scale investigation of people who could
be related to this event.
[Xianning City, Hubei Province] Practitioners from the Wenquan District,
Xianning City Safeguard the Fa
In August 1999, twenty-one local practitioners from Wenquan District went to
Beijing to safeguard the Fa. They went on a hunger strike together after they
were illegally arrested and brought back to their hometowns.
In September 1999, local practitioners successfully held two experience
sharing conferences. Afterwards, over forty practitioners went to the Big Mall
to spread the Fa.
In May 2000, local practitioners held an experience sharing conference in
Qianshan Park. The practitioners also did the group exercises and spread the Fa
at Bridge One on the morning of "World Falun Dafa Day."
The following is a list of the names of local practitioners from Wenquan
District who were illegally detained in labor camps. It's an incomplete
record.
Cai Huilan, Ren Huifang, Fang Jinlian, Wang Lidi, Xu Changhong, Zhang Qi,
Yang Xiaoyong, Hu Hongmei, Wu Weihua, Li Huiping, Yang Dongxiang, Zhou Jujiao,
Zhou Hedi, Chen Shanshan, Chen Xinhua, Liu Aiming, Li Ping, Gao Zi.
[Xianning City, Hubei Province] A Record of the Malicious Words and Deeds of
Local Authorities
Zhou Weiguo, the Vice Chief of the Xianning City Xian-an District Police
Department Subdivision, is in charge of the Xian-an District Custodial Center.
The detention center encouraged criminals to cruelly beat practitioner Tao
Xizhen and other practitioners. Zhou started to take responsibility for
persecuting Falun Gong from the end of last year. He illegally arrested and
detained many practitioners and threatened the practitioners with labor camp
sentences. He also set up coercive brainwashing classes, etc. He's been
"working" very hard (on persecuting Falun Gong and Falun Gong
practitioners).
Chief Song of the Xianning City Wenquan District Police Department
Subdivision said, "I don't care about murder and arson cases. But I get
nervous whenever Falun Gong is mentioned." He also said, "Nowadays,
the Chinese xx (Party name omitted) Party can't compare with Falun Gong.
Those practitioners can go to Beijing immediately while it takes us several days
to form a team and get the money before we can get ready to go to Beijing [to
arrest the local practitioners there]."
Xie is a cop from the Wenquan District Public Security Department
Subdivision. He is a short man in his forties. He was especially vicious in the
brainwashing classes. He cursed, kicked and beat two teachers from the Xianning
Medical School. He also slapped them in their faces and ordered them to stand
still for a painfully long time. He beat one of the teachers' head until it
bled. However, Xie shouted angrily, "Your death won't be more deplorable
than a dog's death."
The Head of the Chalukou Police Station is a middle-aged male cop named Bai.
Female practitioner Cai Huilan was bailed out for 20,000 Yuan RMB by her family
the first time she was in police custody. Bai found out that her family had some
money, so he arrested Cai again without any reason and declared that he would
release Cai only if her family gave him 10,000 Yuan RMB (That's about two and
a half years salary for an assembly worker in China). Cai's husband didn't
have so much money but he was eager to get Cai out. So he had to sign a bill and
acknowledge that he owed Bai this money. Bai took the bill, but still refused to
release Cai.
[Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Persecution Comes to Train #40
Train #40 runs between Qiqihar City and Beijing. The security cops on the
train act like a gang. They force travelers to curse Falun Gong and its founder.
They also set up an illegal court on the train to forcibly interrogate those
travelers that refused to swear at Falun Gong. After the interrogation, they
send those travelers to the Representatives Office of their region in Beijing
and those travelers are then sent back to their region of residence and detained
there.
On December 25, 2000, a person who used to practice Falun Gong went to
Tianjin to attend his aunt's funeral. The cops ordered him to curse Falun Gong
and its founder. The person knew Falun Gong is good. He gave up practicing Falun
Gong simply because Falun Gong is being persecuted. So he refused to follow the
cruel order. Simply because of this, the cops forcefully took him to the dinner
car and searched him and his luggage. They found nothing, but still, because he
refused to swear at Falun Gong, the cops didn't allow him to get off when the
train arrived at Tianjin and directly sent him to the liaison
Office of his City in Beijing. Later, local police brought him back. He was
detained for a month as a criminal, then another half a month as an
administrative offender. After that, he was placed in the custody of the Appeals
Department for two months. After all of this, he finally got released.
A female practitioner on the train also refused to curse Falun Gong and its
founder. The cops forced her to get off the train midway. That practitioner
didn't follow their unreasonable command. Then two security cops carried her and
threw her out of the train. We don't know what happened to her after that.
In the evening of September 1, 2001, a mother and her daughter took Train
#40. The mother was going to take her daughter to college in Beijing. The cops
forced the travelers to swear at Falun Gong and its founder when they checked
in. The mother and the daughter firmly refused. Then the cops took them to the
dinner carriage and illegally interrogated them. The mother and the daughter
tried very hard to explain that they were just going to Beijing so that she
could attend college. But still the cops sent them to the liaison
Office of their city in Beijing. The mother and the daughter were hurt badly
both physically and mentally.
Why is Train #40 so aggressively and so viciously doing all these unjust
things? Why did those train security cops completely lose their consciences?
[Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Local Practitioner Wang Lanqi Is Arrested and
Her Whereabouts Are Unknown
Local practitioner Wang Lanqi was arrested while she was posting fliers a few
days ago. Her bicycle was confiscated and her home was searched. Nobody knows
her whereabouts.
[Shanwei City, Guangdong Province] Local Practitioner Wen Jianmin Is Arrested
Practitioner Wen Jianmin was arrested while handing out truth-clarifying
literature in Haifeng County in the evening of September 14. Now he is illegally
being detained in the Haifeng Custodial Center. Wen Jianmin worked in the
Shanwei City Procurator Department before he was arrested.
[Shandong Province] The Brother of Liu Xuguo's Wife Is Sentenced to a Labor
Camp. Liu Xuguo Is One of the Practitioners That Was Killed
Around the time of this year's Spring Festival in February, when I was
detained in the Shandong Province Wangcun Provincial Labor Camp, I heard that
Man Jiang, the brother of Liu Xuguo's wife, was sentenced to a labor camp and
was detained on the second floor. He was on a hunger strike at that time. I
don't remember his detention term. He was detained in the Third Division of the
Provincial Labor Camp.
[Suileng County, Heilongjiang Province] Police and Criminals Are One Big
Family
Liu Chuncai, a policeman from the Heilongjiang Province Suileng County
Zhenbei Police Station, illegally searched a practitioner's home without
following any proper legal procedures. He ordered the practitioner to leave the
house and took 240 Yuan RMB from the practitioner's home. After that, the
practitioner appealed to Yang Rixing, the Head of the police station. Yang said,
"If you come here again, we will sue you for slandering Liu." Now
there is no place in China that can uphold justice.
