Pennsylvania: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in the Parade of the Alumni Association of Pennsylvania State University

On November 2, 2001, Falun Gong practitioners participated in the evening parade of the Alumni Association of Pennsylvania State University.

In preparation of the float, the first problem was to find a trailer. Coincidentally, an American farmer raising cattle wanted to lend his trailer and truck for us to decorate and use. He also agreed to be the driver on the day of the parade. I was the only local practitioner and there was an approximately four-hour drive to the cities of other practitioners. The practitioners from New Jersey agreed to come one day earlier to decorate the float. As the parade was held in the evening, light installation was important. When I mentioned this issue to a friend of mine knowing recently that he said that he had specially undertaken the business of electricity and Christmas lights since he was young. He agreed to install the lights at night even though he was very busy. The practitioners from New Jersey and Philadelphia brought banners, Dafa materials and balloons etc. Another friend of mine recently stopped smoking and drinking after hearing about Falun Dafa and experienced some supernormal phenomenon of Dafa. He provided food for us. All of these appeared to be carefully arranged by the Teacher. All things that seemed impossible at the beginning were realized naturally later.

Three practitioners from New Jersey decorated the trailer, which was to be a stage on which practitioners could demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises. Two practitioners from Washington DC spent the whole night helping with the decoration. Over 200 hand-made lotus flowers that were prepared by practitioners from New Jersey made the decoration more colorful. Nearly 50 practitioners from New Jersey, Philadelphia, New York, DC and Pittsburgh participated in the activity. My husband is not a practitioner, but cancelled his experiments to supportively take care of many related matters. Under our collective efforts, our parade received a lot of applause. This was the first time that so many practitioners spread Dafa in this city. It was a great success.
