An Old Man's Regret

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Gao is over eighty years old. He suffered from a lot of diseases before he practiced Falun Dafa and all he could do was spend his time in the seniors' home under the institution's care.

After he obtained Dafa, he became stronger and stronger and felt like a young man. Not only did he not need any medicines any more, but also his complexion face changed from an ashen gray to a healthy glow, and half of his gray hair turned black again. His faltering steps changed to stable ones, and he could even jog.

He had hardly practiced for a year when Jiang Zemin's regime began to persecute Dafa. The criminal police took away his Dafa books and forbade him from practicing. What's more, they forced him to read books slandering Dafa and Master. Why couldn't they just leave a lonely old man in peace?

In the end, the old man was coerced to give up the practice. He even asked other people to read the slanderous propaganda. In less than half a year, he had gone back to his original diseased state and had to be sent to the hospital. At this time, the ones who took away his Dafa books stayed far away from him.

When I went to visit him, he looked at me saying: "I am so sorry now. My health was so good when I was practicing, and I could see lights in front of my eyes. Teacher really took care of me. I just realized that they (the people who are against Dafa) cheated me."

Full of hope in my heart, I urged the old man to start practicing again. But he only shook his head in grief: "I cannot make it, I have lost the opportunity." Nevertheless, he continues to lament his rejection of Dafa, and I feel very sorry for him, too.
