Government Officials in Shandong Province Sexually Harass Female Falun Dafa Practitioners

During the last two years, the unlawful government officials of Tanbu City, Mengyin County have been closely following Jiang's criminal directives. They have unlawfully ransacked Falun Dafa practitioners' homes, fined and indefinitely detained them and organized long term brainwashing classes. They brutally torture Falun Dafa practitioners physically and mentally. More disgustingly, they used thugs and criminals to brutally beat, harass and humiliate female Dafa practitioners. The responsible government leaders have encouraged this kind of illegal and despicable behavior.

During the spring festival of 2000, many Dafa practitioners from the city went to Beijing to appeal as permitted by law. After they were sent back, the city government officials (all of whom are male) physically punished and beat them. In the coldest days of winter they turned on the ceiling fan, pulled open female practitioners' underwear and poured cold water onto their chests. They also grabbed at and beat female practitioners' breasts with their dirty hands and kicked them in their genital area. Their actions were very dirty and vicious.

One thug used by the city government was Yu Huazeng, a 46-year old. He was formerly a teacher. In 1997, he was arrested for raping a high school student and yet the municipal government appointed him the Secretary of the region. When he was on duty, he selected young female practitioners to "educate." Many times he boasted that he would "rape the female practitioners to death." He noticed one young and beautiful Dafa practitioner. After getting drunk in the middle of the night, he woke her up to verbally abuse her.

Kan is on the staff of the city. His title is "Assistant Village Head." He is a 56-year old vicious man. A young female seamstress in the city is a Falun Dafa practitioner. She was his target for harassment. Since the practitioner did not give up her belief and firmly cultivated Falun Dafa, the city government extorted money from her and detained her many times. Kan used the excuse of "educating her," and went to her home and tried to touch her. She immediately rejected his overtures. In the afternoon of February 16, 2001 Kan again forced his way into her home. Seeing that she was home alone, he tried to committ an evil and indecent deed and tore at her clothes. She struggled free and ran out of her home. He did not give up. At 3 p.m. the next day, he broke into her home again and told her the government leader and the Mayor had asked him to "educate her." (At that time, she was still being forced to attend the city's mandatory brainwashing classes). When he saw that she was alone at home, he wanted to sexually harass her again. She struggled free and again ran away.

The city government appointed Kan the head of the brainwashing classes. During his term, he often scolded and cursed Dafa practitioners. On June 16, 2001, the city again forced local Dafa practitioners to attend brainwashing classes. When the female seamstress arrived in the lobby of the municipal government building, Kan suddenly appeared and stopped her. In broad daylight, he started sexually harassing her. The female practitioner could no longer tolerate it and reported the situation to the city's officials the next morning. After the incident Kan stopped her in the hallway of a building and scolded her for no reason. He also asked others to beat her. The staff in the brainwashing class knew why and therefore did nothing to her. He was furious and kicked her viciously. He boasted that he would "rape her to death."

With Jiang's criminal cover up and encouragement, Falun Dafa practitioners in China do not have basic human rights. Those corrupt people and the garbage of the society who live above the law are allowed to do anything to model citizens who believe in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance."
