Regaining Our Freedom With Indestructible Righteous Thoughts

On the morning of September 5^th, while I was sorting through some CDs about the truth of Falun Gong, a gang of policemen burst into my home, wanting me to sign a paper renouncing Falun Gong. I refused. Upon hearing this, the police began to search my house without any kind of legal justification. One of them entered my son's room and checked his computer, but found nothing. At last they found several hundred Dafa flyers and dozens of CDs. They also took my copies of Zhuan Falun and Essentials for Further Advancement. When they asked what the CDs were, I told them that they revealed the truth of the self-immolation event in Tiananmen Square. Then I showed it to them. I tried to persuade the police not to follow the evil and persecute Dafa practitioners. During this period, while they were in the room, I sent forth-righteous thoughts several times. Finally, they forced me to go to the police station.

Around 9 o'clock that evening, the police handcuffed me and illegally sent me to a detention center. At first, I was imprisoned in cell 13. When I refused to wear a prisoner's jacket and recite the prison regulations, they put me in cell 6. In cell 6, there were 6 other practitioners. The head of the detention center was very irritated because we refused to cooperate. Thus, he ordered shackles to be put on one of the practitioners.

Because of this, we all decided to hold a hunger strike. By the 5^th day, the authorities of the detention center tried to force feed us. However, we were determined. We refused to yield and we did not let them do it.

The policemen called in five male temporary workers and ordered them to hold our heads, arms, and legs to make us unable to struggle. However, miracles happened. When a rubber tube was put in one nostril, it came out of the other. The jail's medical doctor couldn't figure out a better way to continue force feeding us. Many of us had torn cheeks and bloody noses. Some of the force feeding tubes inserted in our noses came out of our mouths. The cruelty of the police made the temporary workers unable to stand it. However, they were forced by the police, so they had to turn their faces away. Some of them also shed tears. After we were persecuted this way for 8 days, the policemen were at their wits end.

The police were afraid to take responsibility for any danger to our lives, so they sent us to a hospital to be force-fed. Meanwhile, some practitioners had shown signs of shock, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, etc. As we arrived at the hospital, my feet were numb, so I told the others. One of them immediately realized that it was time to escape, using our wisdom. So she began to use her mind to make her body numb. As expected, her face became distorted and her body became paralyzed. Four of us were pulled out for force-feeding. Before we were sent here, another practitioner was sent to the emergency room because her life was in danger from the force feeding. Her face and hands changed color, so she was sent to the hospital. She never returned. Two personnel were ordered to feed us. The practitioner whose body became paralyzed waited outside with me while they were dealing with the others. Because she couldn't move, I pushed her in a wheelchair. At that time, the policeman who monitored us went into the room to help. This was an opportunity for us to run! So I said to the practitioner, "We can escape now, but how can we open your handcuffs?"

"Take them off," she said with determination. Before she had finished these words, she had already stood up.

Although we had been on a hunger strike for 8 days, we were able to run very quickly.

There were many people in the hall, but none of them seemed to notice us. As I was running out of the hospital gate, the other practitioner had already got in a taxi. As the taxi started to leave, I opened its door. We both ran out of the prison with bare feet. We had been wearing slippers in the hospital. At that moment, I realized that Teacher arranged for us to regain our freedom.

Let's draw courage from Teacher's words: "Indestructible, righteous thoughts toward the cosmos' Truth form benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Vajra Bodies; they frighten all evil, and the light of Truth they emanate makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is. Dafa disciples are truly stepping forward out of ordinary humanness." (Also in a Few Words)
